Regarding Red part: Thank you very much once again, I wish people have same thinking like you but they prefer to be detectives and start throwing their accusation without thinking of the possibility that they could be wrong and could hurt someone. :( That's why now I only write Urdu by quoting those friends who have a laugh with me but not to take a mick out of my writing.

The point about love is making us helpless to an extent, I don't agree to it that we stick around based on obligation after realization. I think I can throw obligation and walk away but I can't turn my back from taking care of my loved one based on my helpless position towards love.
For example there are plenty people who got destroyed by their parents false decisions but they still love their parents so its is hard to stick to just obligation and to open our eyes after realization. Because love is blind and forceful.

You are more than welcome to reply me in urdu any time you want as well :)

hmmm...I think it differs...for some its love holding them back and for some its a sense of obligation....

OMG, You are good at this subject. I will elaborate more, We know flaws of the person who is in our good books and we know the good of the person who is in our bad book.

2nd thing, we act harshly when think from our side only, buh when we put ourselves in other person's situation then we realise why those flaws are. After knowing this, we won't be harsh anymore.....

well, you make a good point...just like we don't want to see the flaws of the people that we like, we also don't want to see the good in the people that we don't like because it is much easier to dislike them instead of reviewing our opinion of them....

Its not just about being in other person's shoes....flaws are inevitable...if we didn't delude ourselves into thinking that the other person was perfect, we wouldn't be so hurt when we finally admit them to ourselves...

I consider this as one of the main reasons for failure of Love Marriages. The picture that both try to paint is of fantasy and real life is on the contrary. :)

yes, when emotions are high, we tend to act blind towards the flaws of the other person....but in such marriages, the issue is not the existence of mere flaws as even in arranged marriages, you always marry a flawed person...the issue is that we feel disappointed once our eyes open to those flaws of the person that we had feelings for...and that disappointment makes us bitter and doesn't let us compromise or accept those flaws...

I think it's different for arranged and love marriages. Though I am not declaring arranged marriages highly successful, but still I think that in Love Marriages, you will find most of the time both the parties try to picture themselves as angels, inorder to impress the other (mainly because competition is very high..... (bigsmile)), which you won't find in arranged marriages.

I think it's different for arranged and love marriages. Though I am not declaring arranged marriages highly successful, but still I think that in Love Marriages, you will find most of the time both the parties try to picture themselves as angels, inorder to impress the other (mainly because competition is very high..... (bigsmile)), which you won't find in arranged marriages.

yes, it happens in love marriages as people try to portray the best images of themselves...but it is worst in arranged marriages...there, its not just the people getting married but the both families as well who try to appear saint-like and flawless...:lol:

Families or Elders are more likely to be honest than so called "Adults".

hhahaha, well said, i think in love marriage, a good image turn to bad image or normal/balanced image and in arrange marriage a balance image turns to bad or good image.
but it is really hard to keep the first good impression in love marriage, isn't it...... :)

its hard to keep the first good impression because we are scared that no one would like the true us as because people find it hard to forgive our flaws and judge too harshly...so we fake ourselves...otherwise most of us are good enough human beings :)

Still I do believe that our parents are more sincere to us than anyone else(including ourselves) after ALLAH and the decision that they take for us is in our best interest. That is all what I meant by my previous post. I stand by it. :)
