Punjab Government has spent 5 billion rupees on useless " one time Sports activity" while none of the Government agencies supported Snooker Champion, Muhammad Akram. This is insane. What a waste of tax payers money. On the contrary, people think Shahbaz Sharif is doing great work in Punjab.

Project Cost: - The Punjab government had allocated Rs 29 billion for the project in the 2012-13 fiscal budget, but the project could cross Rs 70 billion mark.

Criticisms: -

1. In Major cities, usually Government laid down a comprehensive plan to deal with public transport. People should use trusted transport system to avoid traffic jams and pollution. This metro system designed in haste and no debate initiated. Usually, after the fall of Government, all money goes in drain and next government does not follow the same project in Pakistan.
2. Where rest of the Punjab roads are in terrible condition, spending huge funds on one road and in one city is no brainer. Especially, when it is not solving the people of entire Lahore.
3. Pakistan Peoples Partys deputy parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly Shaukat Mehmood Basra has called MBS an illegal project, saying that the provincial government had not taken permission from the federal government to start projects worth Rs 5 billion or above.
   
   According to law, he added, it was compulsory for all provincial governments to take permission in advance from the federal government and its Finance Department for all projects worth Rs 5 billion or above.

They said the situation was a sad reflection on the inefficiency of the present government. He stated that instead of spending whatever resources were available on health, education and poverty alleviation, these resources were wasted on flop dramas like the Daanish Schools, laptop distribution schemes, sasti roti, Food Support and Green Tractor Schemes.

The Package 1 starts from Youhanaabad ends at Kalma Chowk, NLC contractor, length 10km, costs Rs 4.2 billion; Package 2 is Kalma Chowk to Qartaba Chowk (Qaddafi stadium onwards is elevated), length 4.9 km at the cost of Rs 4.7 billion and contractors are Maaksons, Al-buraq and SKB; Package 3 is Qartaba Chowk to MAO college length 2.51km for Rs 4.1 billion and Reliance is the contractor; Package 4 starts from MAO college to Bhatti Chowk at Rs 3.1 billion for a length of 2.3km elevated section being completed by NLC; Package 5 and 6 have been merged into one and start from Taxali Chowk to Shahdara Mor at Rs 3.2 billion for 3.7km being completed by Maaksons; Package 7 is an additional bridge along Lahore bridge at the cost of Rs 850 million done by NLC; Package 8 is Gajju Matta to Youhanabaad for Rs 3.2 billion for 2.3km done by Maaksons; Package 9 is erection of escalators and platform screen doors at Rs 2.3 billion; while Package 10 construction of bus depot on southern side at Rs 1.3 billion done by Server & Company; from Shahdra Mor to North depot the 2.8 km are going to cost another Rs 3 billion.The BRT track measures 30km from Gajju Matta to Shahdara and has 31 stations on the MBS track. The system features E-ticketing, signal prioritizing for MBS buses, escalators for elderly and articulated buses which shall be plied with a two minute intervalUNQUOTE

While living in Canada, I can't do much for PTI. I am dedicating this little efforts to Imran Khan.
I have worked two weeks to compile the data. Actually, i was looking for some material for Shahbaz Shairf projects.
I could not find it at one place. I thought, why not put every thing at one place.

Dude, I wrote a detail analysis. This is going to be a big reference for political students and people who wants to know the reality. Due to time constraint, i have missed some information but i will keep updating it.
So, you better write some thing with the context.
What ever crap you wrote is a waste of time for me. FYI, no PTI registered member had time and balls to write a post like this with numbers. They are too busy in fighting and damaging the party to become " Chuadahries" . We are die hard fans of Imran Khan, rest are hopeless character trying to ruin the 16 years non-stop efforts of great Khan.
You are just an average Joe, waste your time some where else.

MONEY TALKS BULLSHIT WALKS.

In two years, Shahaz Sharif Spent 15 billion rupees in advertisement. Kamran Khan did not go into the details of NON-REVENUE generating projects. He did not disclose how Shahbaz Sharif Government turned 100 billion Punjab surplus budget to 100 billion deficit. Punjab Government is literally bankrupt. Let the Government go and the same media groups will reveal mind boggling frauds. Right now, all the media groups making tons of money from this Government. No wonder, newpaper and news channels are opening every day in Pakistan.

Pakistan is known for low tax collection and Shahbaz Sharif Government has wasted " Precious Fuds" in suicidal projects. This should have used the funds to general revenue generating projects to stimulate economy and generate jobs. Most of the party leaders do not pay taxes then would they realize about the importance of tax payers money?

Its Origin :- Started from India UP . Government failed despite using this scheme.
NATIONAL POLICY not home made policy. How do you know the output of a project?
There is no example of free laptop schemes in first world countries.


Project :- First stage :- Under Chief Minister LapTop Scheme, Purchased 125,000 laptops with an estimated cost Rs 40,000 ( Ceremony cost not included )
Second Stage: - 300,000 laptops will be given to talented students in the next budget.
Initially, the government earmarked Rs2 billion in the annual budget for this scheme and later increased it to Rs3.7 billion. Now, the education department has prepared a PC-I that has projected an amount of Rs4.4 billion for the purchase of 110,000 laptops. The Punjab government inked an agreement with a company for the provision of laptops at the rate of Rs37,700 per unit.


Criticsm : - A Massive Publicity Campaign to lure Youth of Punjab.

1. Laptops don't educate people..........at least not till they reach university.....

Purely political strategy, either as a component of pre-election campaigning or to rightfully attempt to secure and include a substantial slice of the nation, in their voter base. It has come to be seen that many of those who received the laptops themselves, consider the whole project as an effort to raise a favorable image and opinion of PML-N in this distinct section, in face of the popularity that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf enjoys amongst them. The youth comprise around 60 to 70 percent of Pakistan today.

1. Government should have set up Computer labs in school, colleges and Universities. Students have started selling back laptops in free market.
2. Rs253 million is slated to be used for the publicity campaign related to this initiative for PML-N leaders. A similar practice was adopted by the Chaudhries of Gujarat during their Parha Likha Punjab campaign, which was vehemently opposed by the Sharifs.

As many as 39 functions have been arranged and ten more are in the pipeline. One of the biggest functions in the city cost Rs20 million. A province facing a resource crunch is using large amounts of money for self-publicity which is against their oaths. Outrageous expenses on distribution ceremonies and often someone not even in the government distributing laptops. Was it really necessary to hold so many ceremonies so that the party leaders and their children could address the recipients?

Questions :-
1- Why Punjab Government has launched this scheme on tax payers money?
2- Did they get it approve my assemblies?
3- Laptops don't educate people, then why distributing free laptops ( especially after Iman Khan Lahore rally )
It has proven that Punjab CM has used public funds for Purely political strategy, either as a component of pre-election campaigning or to rightfully attempt to secure and include a substantial slice of the nation, in their voter base.
If our court's have some common sense then they should recover public funds from PML-N.
