Punjab division is essential for future of pakistan

The people of southern punjab want their own province bcoz of management problems and also whole punjab budget is being used only in lahore and upper punjab so we feel that establishment of punjab is nit wid us .........after 64 years we got nothing so its time 2 divide punjab 2 give rights 2 the people of southeren punjab.....................
I need ur views about our problems and want ur support n say thanx to altaf hussain 4 supporting our cause..........

According to me, comparing to rest of the world, just this would not do,
everywhere in the world the size and population of provice is very small,

Population: 6 times of Pakistan

Population: 0.4 times of Pakistan. (Pakistan exceed by the factor of 2.5)

Population: 7 times of Pakistan
Provinces: 34 (23 provinces, 5 autonomous regions, 4 centrally administrative municipalities & 2 special administrative regions )

Population: 1.7 times of Pakistan

Population: 0.29 times of Pakistan (Pakistan exceeds by factor of 3.3)

Population: half of Pakistan

Now lets compare with Countries with population less than KARACHI

Population: 2 million less than Karachi
Provinces 12

Population: 0.6 times of Karachi, (7 million less than Karachi)

Population: 0.6 times of Karachi, (7.5 million less than Karachi)
Units:2 (with 5 Provinces in each unit)

So my suggestion is
Punjab : into atleast 3 provinces,
Sindh and Baluchistan into atleast 2 provinces,
elevation of status of FATA , FANA and Gilgit to proper separate provinces.

I think to make several provinces of all Pakistan is the need of the time for better administration of general public affairs and speedy management. Not only Punjab is to be divided but all areas of Pakistan to be divided in administration provinces like it was in the time of one unit era. In one unit setup all Pakistan was divided in commisionaries so therefore all commissionaries at that time should be reinstated as Provinces now a day.

This division will eliminate the so called division on language, area-wise etc.

The problem is politicians right now have scapegoat, they blame other areas of usurping the resources,
For example, in Sindh, Rural Areas MPAs blame that Karachi get more than its share, while Karachiites blames Vice Versa,
Situation is i think same in Punjab,
some claims might be true but all of it cannot be, so just remove this scapegoat! simple,

I repeat no where in the world will you see such large provinces, theres a reason to it.

I think the main problem with South Punjab, Interior Sindh, Baloachistan and Pakhtoonkhan region is Tribal/Wadhera system. This system is the main cause that these regions couldn't progress. I think making small provinces will not solve the problem if these Laghari, Mazari, Sardar blabla are there ...

Khilafat is the only last option for muslim states. No matter how they roll the dice they will have to stop on Khilafat. However, I don't see khilafat in near future. Unless Allah has a plan for it. And this is so against my will and wish but I do desire a bloody revolution in my country. Citizens are dying anyways. Why not for a cause. At least those who stay behind will live in peace and so will the coming generations. Unfortunately, even this revolution is not yet ready to sprout. People needs some more punishment. They are still sleeping. Let them suffer for some more time. Then will they stand up !

Punjab should be divide in 4 provinces each of one 2 croar population and sindh in 2 provinces and khyber pukhtionkhaw 2 provinces and fata should be seprate province and baluchstan also divide in 2 provinces

Where is this so called best of the society, who is stopping them from coming forward and lead us. Our politicians are just as good or bad as our society. First we need to improve ourselves before we can expect better leadership.

I agree with you, this will be a very expensive venture. To make this successful, we would have to substantially reduce the salaries, perks and privileges and otherr allowances of all the Governors, Chief Ministers and othe provincial ministers. We will have to sell the present Governor houses, Chief minister houses and give them smaller accomodations. Give them smaller cars. Basically We would need to cut all the fat and make our provincial and federal government very cost effective. We should spend a very percentage of our GDP on government expenses and it should be fixed.

i think there is no need for further division if you will make more provinces you will have more assemblies more ministers more gov more CMs and every elected mpa will be minister like balochastan and all the development funds they will use.these remote areas have mna and mpa they have development funds but they spend every penny on them.

I think the benifit from division will be far more than loss,
India faces same kind of corruption like us, but its coming out better than us, even though the situation in most part of India is worst than Pakistan (pre flood effected), major factor is the fact that that India has increased its provinces, and thus stoping people from fighting each other.

Yes Punjab & other provinces should be divided & there must be a new province in Sindh by combining Karachi+Hyderabad ;)

At the time of independance, there was a province called Bahawapur which was in southern Punjab. Later it was merged with Punjab although it shoudl not have, Bahawapur was always a seperate province and it should be remade the way it was in 1947 with Multan its' capital.

We have seen the results of renaming one Province and can't imagine what will happen in case of sub division of Punjab and other provices.

I am in favor of smaller units but these could be administrative units rather than dividing the provinces.
Feudals in Nothern Punjab are getting marganilzed but if you make that a separate province, Feudals and Peers like Pagars, Lagharis, Khars, Qureshis, Ghellanis will become King Makers.
