Police using latest technology to prevent crime: CCPO

LAHORE: The city police is using latest technology for the prevention of crime, which has yielded positive results particularly in kidnapping for ransom cases, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Pervez Rathore said in an open court on Wednesday.

He said the eradication of crime and protection of life and property of people was the top priority and all available resources were being effectively used in this regard. He said a comprehensive strategy and effective patrolling, along with free registration of cases, were being ensured. The CCPO said the city police had also evolved an effective plan for the prevention of street crime and Mohafiz Force had been equipped with the latest equipment. He said the city police had introduced latest and sophisticated technology including stolen vehicles management software, mobile forensic labs, criminal sketching software, criminal index cards software and NADRA network.
