Mate if they had morals they would be governing the country with sincerity and would have made an attempt to make a difference to the miserable lives of the masses rather than using every opportunity to screw money out of the system. In a healthy parliamentary democratic environment the role of the opposition is to highlight the mismanagement and policy failures of the standing government and if that means putting pressure on the government to stand down then so be it. If u take the UK thats what happens over ther, same again in India - either the government goes or the ministers stand down and face the firing line.

In Pakistan's History of some 64-65 yrs Army has been in power for about 30 odd years and pulled the strings from behind the curtains on all important issues (defense, foreign affairs) the rest of the time. The examples which fit Britain wont fit Pakistan, army has never been that influential in UK. There is clear and present danger that the day PMLN confronts PPP through street power another mock emergency will be imposed with the friendly declaration in tune of 'meray aziz humwatanon'.

As for linking morals, PPP has win the election fair and square. The have the moral and legal right to 5 years of govt. Any person who does not like their ventures can vote for someone else. This is how democracy works, as shallow a system as it might be. This is exceptionally important for a country like Pakista where party lines are usually drawn at provinces/ lingual or racial basis.

Other then that:

1. In UK tony Blair lied through his teeth about Iraq war - on such an extremely important issue even after his lies have been confirmed what actions have been taken against him? Same is true for allowing torture on POW and the last scandal of swindling public exchequers money.

2. India is far far worse off then Pakistan in this regard. Dude u should seriously read something on India before making these claims, India is light years ahead of Pakistan in corruption. Specifically now when it is facing 'corporate' level corruption. Mostly an issue is made out of individual corruption cases ignoring the corruption in policy making and in dealings of corporations which is where the real, actually harmful corruption takes place.

3. Americans bailed out the worst offenders in the recent financial crises - as huge a scandal as any, how many heads do u see rolling?
