Teen charged in Hwy 403 rollover
A Milton teen has been charged in an early morning rollover that sent four to hospital.
Ontario Provincial Police said one person was ejected Saturday when a Honda Civic headed westbound on Hwy 403 just east of Waterdown Road in Burlington just before 1 a.m., left the road for unknown reasons.
The car rolled into the right side ditch. The front seat passenger suffered critical injuries when they were ejected from the car.
“Looks like speed is a factor,” said Constable Dave Woodford. “They lost control and rolled into a ditch.”
All four were taken by ambulance to Hamilton General hospital with what was originally believed to be critical injuries.
“The injuries are not life threatening,” Woodford said.
Woodford said OPP continues to investigate.
The driver, 18, is charged with three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
He is scheduled to appear in court on April 8 in Milton.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Provincial Constable M. Bryan at the OPP Burlington Detachment at 905-681-2511.
