Pakistan's nuke arsenal bigger than India's....Spartacus Khusch Hua

NEW DELHI: After racing ahead of India in ballistic and cruise missiles, with covert help from China and North Korea, Pakistan seems to be surging ahead on the nuclear front too.

A series of recent estimates by international nuclear watchdogs and reputed thinktanks hold that Pakistan has a total of 70 to 90 warheads compared to India's 60 to 80. China, in comparison, has around 240 warheads.............................................

Pay attention to this paragraph in the article:

Moreover, there is continuing controversy in India over whether the country has a credible thermonuclear or hydrogen bomb, given that a few experts contend the 45-kiloton thermonuclear device tested under the Pokhran-II tests in 1998 was "a fizzle".

RSS and Shiv Sina must be burning with envy!!

Politics of our country is based on hatred. No hatred no votes for the goons. I have always tried moderating the discussions between you guys that are political. To me this is the best post ever in this forum. We need to get rid of all our political gods and start following our best slogan " Laila ha Il-Allah". The only thing between us and the brotherhood between our ummat is our affiliation with our political leaders.

Dear friends, such reports by the Indian media are not portraying just the truth, it has a propaganda theory behind it. First they wanna show Pakis have borrowed technology wether it be misiles or nuclear which isnt true. Secondly they wanna portray us as dangerous to the world peace cuz we posses more nuclear warhead than our enemy might have and it makes them defend their coward policies. So plz give such reports a second thought before lauding them. We do know better what we have than the indian media does. But ofcourse we have to be Proud of what we have as Pakistanis. These political leadership of ours is just nutshells. Our leaders all of them are not matured leaders they r just mere greedy politicians. Pray to Allah for his guidence in these tough times.

Pakistan's nuke arsenal bigger than India: report

6-4-2010_66126_l.gif

STOCKHOLM: A series of recent estimates by international nuclear watchdogs and reputed think tanks hold that Pakistan has a total of 70 to 90 warheads compared to India's 60 to 80. China, in comparison, has around 240 warheads.

Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said Pakistan's weapons-grade plutonium production would jump seven-fold with the two new reactors at Khushab nearing completion.

"Our conservative estimates are that Pakistan has 60 warheads and could produce 100 nuclear weapons at short notice," said SIPRI, adding that Islamabad had earmarked its US-supplied F-16 fighters, Ghaznavi and Shaheen missiles as its nuke delivery systems.

India's nuclear weapons programme, in turn, has largely been plutonium-based, basically centred around the Pu-239 produced in research reactors like Cirus and Dhruva at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

Nuclear arsenals of India, Pakistan, and even China, pale in comparison to the gigantic ones of the two former Cold War foes, US and Russia. SIPRI estimates there are whopping 22,600 active, inactive and stored nuclear warheads around the globe, enough to destroy it several times over.

While Russia has 12,000 warheads, 4,630 of them "deployed" ones, US has 9,600, which includes 2,468 of them operational. The two have, however, recently decided to slash their inventories by nearly one-third.

France comes third with 300, followed by UK with 225. Israel, which like India and Pakistan is not a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, completes the list of the eight countries with nuclear weapons, with an arsenal of 80 warheads. Then, there is also North Korea, which has produced "enough plutonium for a small number of warheads", SIPRI said.

My goodness. Why do we want to destroy India. If we started trade with India, both countries can benefit. We should be competing who has better cricketers, movie stars, singers etc. We don't need to compare bombs with each other. It seems such immature thing. Both countries understand each other's language and can enjoy each other's art, culture and fun. Live and let live.
Yes, there are Indians who are racist, terrorist, fanatics. Don't we have fair share of those. May be we win in this manner. Lets live and love and prosper. These bombs should be destroyed, else they will destroy us.

If Pakistan is to exist and survive, it must become ten times more nuclear powerful than its dead-enemy, India. We can not and must never trust India's evil intentions to destroy Pakistan and must protect ourselves against all dangers not only from India but also from our other neighbours.

I would like to see Pakistan becoming nuclear impregnable country so that its enemies dread to harm it.

At the same time we must get rid off every corrupt, dishonest and greedy Pakistan politician.

My Pakistan Zindabad. Ameen.

* Missile technology of India is going upgrade :

India will test a nuclear-capable missile with a range of over 5,000 kilometres within a year, its top military scientist said Wednesday, risking a rise in regional tensions.

V.K. Saraswat whom the india Scientist said “The next series of missiles is Agni-V, which has left the drawing board and is moving toward the first flight trial within the year.India’s current longest-range nuclear-capable missile, Agni-III, can travel a maximum of 3,500 kilometres and is now ready for use by the military,

He further said “The missile system will be fully inducted into the armed forces,It is the full deterrence that the country needs.”
The Indian-built Agni-III was first tested in 2006 and brings major Chinese cities, such as Shanghai, within striking distance..

India kicked off its guided missile project in 1983 and has developed an array of weapons systems, including the Prithvi, which is meant for possible use against neighbouring "Pakistan".

India, which fought a brief, bloody war with China in 1962, has unresolved border issues with its giant neighbour.

The Agni-III is “a real mobile system and hence it has a strategic advantage,”

Agni-III and Agni-V would be able to carry 1.5-ton conventional or nuclear warheads.

Agni-III was declared operational after three flight tests and numerous computer-simulated trials.

The most recent test was held Sunday, when the missile was fired from Wheeler Island, off the coast of the eastern Indian state of Orissa.

Agni-III, which he called a “100-percent indigenous system,” hit its “target with pinpoint accuracy and met all mission objectives.”

*Missile technology of Pakistan by Nescom Chief :

Now on the other side Pakistan has achieved significant advances in the missile technology due to efforts and dedication of its team of researchers and scientists. This was stated by National Engineering and Science Commission (Nescom) Chairman Dr Mubarik Samarmand.

Tested a number of missiles of different range and capacity over the past years, the country had reached a position to deliver them to the armed forces. Nescom was one of the seven new companies from Pakistan, which showcased its products at this international arms fair in East London.

According to Dr Samarmand, five organisations working under Nescom are engaged in research and production of defence equipment and have been able to meet the relevant requirements of the country's armed forces.

He said "Apart from meeting the needs of our defence forces, Nescom has also been earning around 40 million dollars annually in export of its products to countries in Middle East, South East Asia and Africa,"

He said Nescom had also developed integrated battlefield management system by combining different radars mechanism, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of different capabilities, anti armour bomb, combined effect munitions, military batteries, infrared flares and other equipment including counter electronic measures for Pakistan Air Force and Navy.

According to Dr Samarmand, the defence equipment being manufactured by organisations under Nescom were not only cheap as compared to the prices offered by the European companies but also of highest international quality.

Nescom, he pointed, had also fabricated an integrated defence systems, created with an objective of developing an infrastructure for the indigenous weapons development and achieving self reliance in diverse technologies related to these areas.

India and Pakistan cannot come in front of each other because they know that there last weapon is Atomic Weapon and which can cause a lot of damage to both the countries Pakistan and India. According to my knowledge Pakistan is much stronger in Missile technology then India, Indian have failed a lot of time in testing new missiles and its still a big question on the face of India. Meanwhile Pakistan is getting self dependent in arms day by day.

i don't know when this guy counted India's nuclear weopen. i thought these things were state secret. I am happy if India has just a few nuclear bombs. India needs to build more power plant for generation of electricity rather than useless N-bombs which you are not going to use anyway and it takes a lot of effort to maintain them. India already tested nuclear bomb in 1975 and that was enough to make commie china aware. I am against unnecessary military spending. In this day and age it is the economic power that works. Look at soviets with all that weaponry they fell. Only foreseeable threat to India comes from poverty (Maoist problem) and infrequent bombings from zihadi . Hopefully in next decade China becomes democratic. Democratic India and china are natural friends and partners. As far as Pakistan is concerned it is paying heave price as a nation for all its past mistakes and wrong policies. If Pakistan is to survive as one nation, it has to emerge as a democratic, secular (it doesn't mean non religious) and modern country eager to trade with India. It has to curb the powers of bureaucracy, military and agencies.
