Pakistan ODI & T-20 Squad against South Africa - Shahid Afridi makes ODI comeback

Shahid Afridi has made a comeback to Pakistan's ODI squad for the series in South Africa, after being omitted for the tour of India in December last year. Batsman Asad Shafiq and spinner Abdur Rehman were the other inclusions for the five-match series that begins on March 10.
The players left out from the ODI squad that went to India were Anwar Ali, Azhar Ali, Haris Sohail and Zulfiqar Babar. There was only one change to the Twenty20 squad, with Wahab Riaz replacing Sohail Tanvir, who was part of the team that had travelled to India.

raza hassan imran nazir abdul razzaq should b in one day squad if afridi come back then why not these akmal brothran shaoib malik and imran farhat should be out of this team.imran farhat only for test cricket not suitable for one day or t twenty squad

Umar Amin is not T-20 material and Imran Farhat ...im not sure what value he brings. We should instead consider Anwar Ali.
I have not seen Anwar Ali bowl recently but he seemed to be a one trick pony - only bowls inswingers. His batting has improved but I am not too sure about his bowling. Not sure what happened to Hammad Azam. Typical Pakistan strategy to bring in a guy and then completely discard him even though I was not sure about his place in the side.

Totally agreed. Hammad Azam should have been tried for tests ..I dont know why we keep on backing Azhar Ali when we have so many other youngsters.
Anwar Ali's performance can only be guaged once he is given a chance and we have let him go without even giving him a try !

Abdul Razzaq, a very talented all rounder, keeps cool head at the crucial times and had played significant role in Pak wins. He is much better than Akmal, Shoaib Malik, and many others, but he is the most neglected player, because he does not have blue eyes and has no one in the upper layer to support him.
