Ikhlaq bhai, I totally agree with you that the Generals should do their job (secure the borders) and should not interfere in the politics because they are the servant of the state (and the servant of the people of Pakistan)... But in my opinion, the politicians were and are so corrupt that they always provided the opportunities to the Generals to topple the Govt..

Like Generals, the politicians are also servants of the people of Pakistan but every time they are given a chance, they tried to rule the country like a KING..... After every dictator, people gave them a chance to rule the country but they never learned a lesson.. People do not appoint the Generals (chief of Army staff)... these are our political leaders who appoint the Army Chief of their own choice (abusing all the rules and regulations)... Like Bhutto appointed Zia and NS appointed Musharaf (both were not the senior most) So for me, politicians are totally responsible for the mess we have in the country right now..
