As Talat said it was a record interview which will be quoted in the future when Imran Khan accomplishes his mission of change ( Insha-Allah ).
Thank you Talat and Imran for conducting a very sensible interview, may God bless you both!

Re: Newsnight With Talat - 23rd December 2010 - Imran khan exclusive Interview

The last section of this interview proved the speculations to some what true in media circles that pertained to the fall-out of Talat with Imran, which has spanned to some years now, on the nagging and sensitive issue of these state controlled pogroms (Yes not military operations) of the tribal Pakhtun belt of Pakistan which also happens to be in conjunction with the border of its turbulent neighbour in the western front. Talat no doubt being a high profile and objective minded journalist of Pakistan do hold some special presence in the hearts and minds of his viewers but on the issue of this so called war on terror his slant is in the favour of those civilian massacres which have been pursued with utmost devotion by the beasts of America & its allied mercenaries including the blood sucking armed forces of Pakistan.

The reasoning of this biased slant is simple to establish because of Talat’s affiliation with that sect of Islam which has a history of animosity and vengeance against their theological, ideological and jurisprudential opponents (The Salafi-Deobandi conglomeration of these militant Sunni groups, which also include the Talibans). Talat on this specific issue tends to overwhelm with his own prejudices and proclivity and has overtly expressed, at times, his disgust against these resistive forces of Taliban on either side of the border. There’s no doubt about the extremist frame of mind of these Taliban groups and recent historical accounts do suggest us to some extent about the formation of their extreme militant thinking and views on various geopolitical, social and religious issues of this region in particular.

The problem is separate here that who has given the rights to these Americans and its mercenaries to spill the blood of hundred of thousands of civilians under the pretext of targeting their nemesis and later have the audacity to shamefully term them as an eventual collateral damage of their premeditated, blind and atrocious military operations? On this specific point Talat do indeed shows his partiality which annoys me very much sometimes, despite of the fact that on other issues I more and less admire his professional competence and depth of his insight. Anyway in the end I wish Imran bhai the best and hope that he will take more active part in coming days to rally the incensed emotions of the aggrieved populace of Pakistan against the injustices of their rotten and corrupt to the core ruling (so called) elite class.

This program by talat and other of the same type with imran shows that everyone in pakistan thinks that if change could be brought , it could only be done by imran khan. I beg all of you to please go for vote. This is the only and easiest solution

Its a bit extreme to say this.... and I certainly wouldnt paint Talat with that brush ... Besides the interview didnt delve into the particulars of the salafi aspects of Islam as the defacto reasons for the terrorism in Pakistan. Imran continues to believe that the reasons are political and so is the solution. The Taliban movement is a civilian nationalist movement with a minimally driven religiously angle . Involvement in peace dialogue with the Taliban on both sides of the Durand line and the tribal elders by major stakeholders , like the prime minister of Pakistan - which Imran thinks only he is capable of executing due to his tribal roots - will allow for ceasefire and thus alienation from other extremist outfits

Nevertheless, I believe, without doubt the most interesting part in the interview was Imran's forecasting / vision of the new Ballot electoral system in Pakistan. It seems the current Supreme court is completely oblivious of the urgency of the electoral reform and the impact of straightening out the election commission. My hunch is that the issue of Election Commission & electoral reforms will pick up more heat in 2012 and 2013 and the Chief Justice will play a critical role thru a ruling which will route out the traditional ponsy schemes used by these tried and tested criminal political parties and allow for a clean free&fair elections.

Imran Khan should put all his efforts to organize his party at the root level and prepare his menifesto as soon as possible. He should take this opportunity and without wasting his time, bring more and more educated people in the party and on the talk shows.I dont see anyone from his party on the talk shows .Talk shows are the best medium to convey the party's message to masses.

Brother, Is Talat Hussian a ''shia''? if yes, do you know for sure or is it just his name that makes you think that. This is extremely important as a shia, in majority of the cases, will support military opertaion to massacre talibans. Although Talat agreed with Imran that there has to be a political solution to this issue, I would not be surprised if Talat's heart supports the operation.
All others, for Allah's sake please do not make it a shia sunni discussion. My question is just for my personal clarity and my views are my own I dont expect everyone to agree with me.

I beg to differ with IK here. He is assuming that this government will complete its full 5 years and by then somehow the election commission will get independent and the new voter lists will be constituted from Nadra ID cards.

But I know and majority of the political pundits predicts that this government is almost anyday on its way out. There will be an interim 90 days caretaker government which will be there to supervise the election. There won’t be any time for election commission to get independent and even not enough time to get new voter lists.

So back to square one…………. Another Talat Hussain show with Imran Khan…….. Where Imran will be complaining about surprise early dissolution of the assembly. Imran and PTI needs to be proactive in strategy . Where is the shadow cabinet he is talking about? Where are those policy papers he is talking about? They are even not available on PTI website.

I like this guy and I almost agree with him on his views. What he is lacking is a good team which has deep roots in masses. Unfortunately, despite having ample time he has failed to develop one. I guess time is the essence and probably he once again missed the bus.

I hope this government continues so that IK gets his party organisze otherwise Allahhafiz to all our hopes.

Imran does not have a team to present. He is the only hope but he cannot run the whole country and solve all the issues alone. Who are his party's other leaders. What if something happens to him, what is the solution he is presenting? We all know we need change, many agree that Imran is the best choice but he needs to do some homework and prepare a team too...

@sammy99, I have recently joined P.T.I in Islamabad and given opportunity to be in a media wing of the movement. I endorse your opinion and believe that they would work on area you mentioned. Actually they have to work really hard. While visiting P.T.I's website (http://www.insaf.pk/Chapters/InsafResearchWingIRW/tabid/225/Default.aspx), i realized that their research committees have done nothing of any worth yet. Talat Hussain pointed towards that point. Lets see if I can be of any use. However I would definitely forward your comments there.

Re: Newsnight With Talat - 23rd December 2010 - Imran khan exclusive Interview

“Bro abd 00” Talat Hussain is also affectionately known as Shah g in his journalist and media fraternity and is indeed belongs to the Sayyed lineage of Shi’a faction of Islam which is also evident from his name. And “Sayeen bhai” I agree to your views to some extent as well but firmly believe like Imran Khan that any sort of coercive and offensive tactics can’t subdue the resistance of Taliban freedom fighters unless a meaningful dialogue ensued in the future which ensures the complete pull out of the armed forces of NATO and Pakistan in this region and then to persuade the extremists to join the main stream of politics and societies of both side of the border, and later also not to utilise them and their services for achieving the sinister goals of these criminal establishments of local and western regions.
