Tens of thousands of Muslims pray outside Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque. They are marking one of the holiest days on the Islamic calendar - Laylat al Qadr. It commemorates the night the prophet Mohammed is believed to have received the first verses of the Koran. The ceremony is one of the highlights of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. During the month, the ninth on the lunar calendar, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Andrew Raven, Reuters
