Every day we are asked to watch to watch a show by the two above hosts who have made a habit of grilling their political guests with irrelevant questions that have no bearing on the country's economic, fiscal or financial policies and what their manifestos are regarding creating jobs, improving industrial growth, cutting budget deficit, improving health and medical services, reducing abject poverty and exterminating corruption from the country.
Instead all that these hosts are doing is questioning politicians for too long about articles 62 & 63 and spending whole one hour on absurd questions that have no use as far economic, foreign, security and defence policies are concerned.
It appears to me that both Mubshar Luqman and Wasim Basdmi want to impress themselves asking unnecessary long questions and half of the show is taken by these absurdly long question. Wasim Badami talks so fast and interrupts the guests on almost every sentence they reply and does not give the audiences in the room and millions at large an opportunity to form any opinion about their representatives.
It is a kind of epidemic disease with Pakistani anchor men and women that ask extra ordinary long questions and by doing so take half of the time for themselves and deprive politicians of an opportunity to explain their point of view, and also by interrupting them every minute. These anchor men and women in Pakistan do not have any skill, technique or an idea how to conduct an interview and let millions of the audiences hear what these politicians have to say and judge for themselves their abilities and weaknesses. I get the impression watching these question/answer sessions as if it is a competition between the host and the guests.
Wasim Badami should stop repeating himself with the phrase that he has made his trade mark, " Masuma sawal" and Mubshar Luqman saying, " Wait, wait a minute." The anchor men and women should be stern but not to be personal or aggressive or belligerent with their interviewees and give them ample and fair opportunity to explain their point of view. But, when an interviewee avoids or dither a question, he/she should be stopped without fail.
