Great lecture by Pakistani1947.....Quoting Ayat out of context and spreeding his false message.

All human being are not equal in the eyes of God. They are only equal in the eyes of those who believe Prophet Muhammad was like thier older brother, the only difference is, he was picked for wahi and we are not...big deal(Nauizbilla).

There is difference between Pakistani1947 and Prophet Muhammad, Babadeena and Moses, Cefspan and Jesus. From looks, they all look human but one is Imam and the other is follower, One is inflallable and the other is sinner, how can then they be equal. God can't have a sinner preach his message(Noor Quran) to other sinners so he had to create a kind of people who are infalliable which are Masumeen. All Muslim in the world agree that Prophets are Infalliable(without sin). People that Allah created infallible(without sin) and people who were idol whorshippers and converted to Islam as Ummah can't be equal.

Then Quran introduced another kind of Infalliable people as Imams of our Ummah. So in Surah Ahzab (33:33) Allah says:

"And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you ye Members of the Family(Ahlaybaat) and to make you pure and spotless(Infalliable)"

The Long-Term Custom of the Prophet After the Revelation of the Purification Verse

It has been widely narrated that after the revelation of the purification verse of Quran (Ayah al-Tat'hir), the Messenger of Allah used to recited this verse at the door of the House of Fatimah and Ali before EVERY prayer when people were gathering to pray with the Messenger of Allah. He continued this practice for many months simply to show the people who his Ahlul-Bayt are. Anas Ibn Malik narrated:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF), from the time the revelation of "Verily Allah intends to... (the last part of Verse 33:33)" and for six (6) months thereafter, stood by the door of the House of Fatimah and said: "Time for Prayer Ahlul-Bayt; No doubt! Allah wished to remove all abomination from you and make you pure and spotless."

Sunni references:
  • Sahih al-Tirmidhi, v12, p85
  • Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v3, p258
  • Mustadrak, by al-Hakim, v3, p158 who wrote this tradition is authentic as per the criteria of Muslim and Bukhari

Abu al-Hamra narrated:
"The Messenger of God continued eight (8) months in Medina, coming to the door of Ali at every morning prayer, putting his two hands on the two sides of the door and exclaiming : "Assalat! Assalat! (prayer! prayer!) Certainly God ward off all uncleanness from you, O Members of the House of Muhammad, and to make you pure and spotless."

  • Majma' al-Zawa'id, by al-Haythami, v9, pp 121,168
  • Mushkil al-Athar, by al-Tahawi, p338
Also Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated:
"We have witnessed the Messenger of God for nine (9) months coming to the door of Ali, son of Abu Talib, at the time of each prayer and saying: 'Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Ahlul-Bayt (Peace and Mercy of God be upon you, O Members of the House). Certainly God wants only to keep away all the evil from you, Members of the House, and purify you with a thorough purification.' He did this seven times a day."
Sunni reference: al-Durr al-Manthoor, by al-Hafidh al-Suyuti, v5, p198
In Majma' al-Zawa'id and exegesis of Suyuti it has been quoted from Abu Said Khudri with a variation in words that:
For forty days the Holy Prophet approached the house of Fatimah Zahra every morning and used to say: 'Peace be upon you O people of the House! The time for the prayers has come'. And thereafter he used to recite this verse: O people of the Prophet's House.... And then said: 'I am in a state of war with him who fights with you and am in a state of peace with him who is at peace with you'.
Sunni references:
  • Tafsir al-Durr al-Manthoor, by al-Hafidh al-Suyuti, v5, p199
  • Majma' al-Zawa'id, by al-Haythami, v9, pp 121,168
He repeated this openly at the time of each prayer so as to demonstrate the meaning of this verse verbally as well as practically and he explained it to his followers on the lines of the sacred verse: "We have revealed the Quran to you so that you could tell the people what has been revealed to them and that perhaps they will think. (Quran 16:44)" This concept became well known among the people and even the companions of the Holy Prophet argued on its basis on behalf of the Holy Prophet's family.

Hadith Reference:

Narrated Aisha:

One day the Prophet (PBUH&HF) came out afternoon wearing a black cloak (upper garment or gown; long coat), then al-Hasan Ibn Ali came and the Prophet accommodated him under the cloak, then al-Husain came and entered the cloak, then Fatimah came and the Prophet entered her under the cloak, then Ali came and the Prophet entered him to the cloak as well. Then the Prophet recited: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O' People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a perfect purification (the last sentence of Verse 33:33)."

Sunni reference:
Sahih Muslim, Chapter of virtues of companions, section of the virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet (PBUH&HF), 1980 Edition Pub. in Saudi Arabia, Arabic version, v4, p1883, Tradition #61.

Sahih Muslim english version pages 1293/1294 hadith number #5955 (these hadith can be checked out online too with online english versions of sahih muslim - ) in Kitab Fadail al-sahaba

One can see that the author of Sahih Muslim confirms that:

1- Imam Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husain are the Ahlul-Bayt,

2- The purification sentence in Quran (the last sentence of Verse 33:33) was revealed for the virtue of the above-mentioned individuals, and NOT for the wives of the Prophet (PBUH&HF).

Ummul Mu'minin, Umm Salama (RA)

In Mushkil al-Athar, al-Tahawi has quoted Umrah al-Hamdaniyyah as saying:
I went to Umm Salama and greeted her. She inquired: "Who are you?" I replied: "I am Umrah Hamdaniyyah." Umrah says, "I said O mother of the Faithful! Say something about the man who has been killed among us today. One group of the people like him and another group is inimical towards him," (He meant Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib). Umm Salama said, "Do you like him or are you hostile to him?" I replied, "I neither like him nor I am hostile to him." [Here the narrative is defective and thereafter it is like this:] Umm Salama began to tell about the revelation of the verse of Tat'hir and said in this behalf: "Allah revealed the verse: O People of the Prophet's House... There was none in the room at that time, except Gabriel, the Holy Prophet, Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan and al-Husain. I said: 'O Prophet of Allah! Am I too one of the people of the House?' He replied: 'Allah will reward you and recompense you.' I wished that he might have said 'Yes' and would have valued such a reply much more than anything else in the world.'"
Sunni reference: Mushkil al-Athar, by al-Tahawi, v1, p336

Ibn Abbas (RA)

Ahmad, al-Nisa'i, Muhibbuddin, and al-Haythami have reported (the wording being of Ahmad's Musnad):
  1. 'Amr Ibn Maimoon said: "I was with Ibn Abbas when nine persons came to him and said: 'Ibn Abbas! Either come out with us or provide us privacy.' He said: 'I shall go out with you.' In those days the eyes of Ibn Abbas were all right and he could see. They had mutual conversation and I am not aware as to what they talked about. After some time Ibn Abbas returned to us. He was then shaking off his dress saying: 'Fie be upon them! They are talking about the man who enjoys ten excellences.' [Later in the narration Ibn Abbas details the virtues of the Imam till he says:] 'The Holy Prophet spread his cloak upon Ali, al-Hasan and al-Husain and said: O People of the Prophet's House! Allah intends to keep you pure from all sorts of uncleanness and blemish and to purify you with a thorough purification.'"
Sunni references:
Musnad, by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v1, p331 (First edition)

THERE SADAAT ARE CHILDREN OF AHLAYBAAT RASOOL. NO RESTRICTION ON MARRIAGE HOWEVER ITS UPTO SADDAT TO DECIDED. SADDAT IS NOT A CASTE BUT CHILDREN OF CHOSEN PEOPLE BY ALLAH, UMMAH AND AHLAYBBAT CAN'T BE EQUAL UNDER QURAN AND HADITH.

Salam brothers n sisters

A child or family is known by father n father's family. Family or child is never known by mother or mother's family. So my question is that our holy prophet Muhammad (SAW) has no male children. And if you agree about what I said then why the people say that they are syeds ( means from the family of prophet). Didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings.
you are so confused and do not have enough knowledge to participate in this debate

This is very touchy and chilling reality in Pakistani Society. One has to understand the culture
which we inherited from a combined society. Ok let us make certain points:

a) It is fact that majority of Muslims residing in India and Pakistan are converted
Muslims; Their earlier generations may be Hindu, Sikhs, Aryans, or whatever,

b) Not all the Soldiers who came to India with Bin Qasim stayed there and
married with local girls. And all those soldiers were not Syed (in caste sense);

c) The majority of Syeds are in Sub-continent, and mushroomed after partiition;
d) Syed is not a caste, but a title and in Quran this Title has been given to
Yahya (as) and also the Husband of that Lady who lost her heart to
Yusuf(as);
e) There was no male off-spring of our Prophet(PBUH). People have termed
the progeny of Abu Talib as progeny of Rasool;

f) In Islam there is no room for Caste or Castes, the only condition is
that Male and Female should not be "MUSHRIK"

g) All those people who claim to be Choundaries, Khans, Veedaras, Syeds,
Jat, Tawanas etc etc. etc. etc are the generations of "KAMIS" (Arzaloon),
who were at the Boat of Noah(as). If someone does not believe this
then he/she has no belief over Quran.

I think I should not write more, many will come to my head. So any
kalama go person can marry any kalam-go in Islam, the only condition is
that they should not be MUSHRIK, but what is happening in Society that
is another story, that is not Islam, that is our culture developed by us only.
Some people should visit the suburbs of whole Pakistan where "Kami"
titled people are living and the way they are treated in the so-called
Islamic society. The worst type of apartheid one can witness.

so true
every muslim will be treated upon his/her good or bad deeds
I as muslim and I as syed not so satisfy with the cultural or traditional values of our society.

@Molson4u,

your post 61. No one buys your theory except those who are not aware
of Quranic teachings. Keep on commecializing your cult. In fact it was,
according to Quran, Faroon who institutionalized the Caste System,
perhaps you like his style.

babadeena, you read Quran that you don't believe and you listen to Hadith, you don't believe , what can i do. All reference are given from Quran and Hadith through books and scholars but I guess my answers are for educated people who are not closed minded, search for the truth and don't belong to Salfi Saudi Cult..

Lineage is very important. Like Prophet Muhammad is from the lineage of Hazarat Ibrahim, tell me what is Darood?

Do you say Darood in your namaz? Brother it was the same reason that hte Prophet knew that a day will come when an evil will be created from Saudia(salfi) who will say Muhammad and his family are nothing special. For this particular reason , It was made mandatory for you to say DAROOD in your namaz and if you don't, your namaz is not acceptable to Allah.

What you say in Darood?

As per Qur'an;
Undoubtedly, Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet, the Communicator of unseen news, O you who believe! send upon him Blessings and salute him fully well in abundance
ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA SALLAITA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID. ALLAHUMMA BAARIK ALA MUHAMMADIW WA ALA AALI MUHAMMADIN KAMAA BAARAKTA ALA IBRAHIMA WA ALA AALI IBRAHIMA INNAKA HAMIDUM MAJID.

"O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious".

You see phoron was the example for you and your lineage. I agree that pharon was your grandfather but I am a sadaat and from AAL( family of Muhammad) so everytime you say Namaz my brother, you send me your salam and without it, your namaz is batil( not acceptable to God)

You can also learn tht Darood also talks about the lienage of Phophet from Abrahim through Ismail. So the chosen lineage by Allah and general public can't be same. May Allah forgive you. However from today, everytime you say namaz and read daroor, think about me that some saddat is upset with you and will your namaz be accepted.

Quran and several sahi narrations explicitly shows that wives of prophet (pbuh) are ahlebayt

O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just. And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family(ahlebayt), and to make you pure and spotless. And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest mysteries and is well-acquainted (with them) (33: 32-34)

Allah Almighty clearly addresses the wives of the Prophet(saw) in this verse with the term ahlebayt, we base this on the simple fact that the context of the verse starts with “O wives of the Prophet”, How can we say that this verse refers to Ali(ra) and the Infallible Imams when none of them are mentioned here, but only the wives are addressed, in the initial and the later verses(i.e 33:32-34) where the term “ahlebayt” was used.

This verse from surah ahzaab is so clear and explicit in declaring wives of prophet(Saw) as “ahlebayt” that a person with unbiased approach will never deny this crystal clear proof as it is apparent from the whole passage(33:32-34) right from the beginning to the end that addressees are wives of prophet(Saw). But those who love their self made beliefs and concepts made by their fathers more than the word of Allah they cling to those farfetched arguments and interpretations which the quran(3:7) warned against.

Now let us quote some authentic narrations which are in agreement with quran and backup the explicit verses of quran which shows us that wives of prophet(Saw) are ahlebayt.

1
. Anas(ra) said: I also saw the wedding feast of Zainab, and he (the Holy Prophet) served bread and meat to the people, and made them eat to their heart’s content, and he (the Holy Prophet) sent me to call people, and as he was free (from the ceremony) he stood up and I followed him. Two persons were left and they were busy in talking and did not get out (of the apartment). He (the Holy Prophet) then proceeded towards (the apartments of) his wives. He greeted with as−Salamu ‘alaikum to every one of them and said: Members of the household, how are you? They said: Messenger of Allah, we are in good state ‘How do you find your family? He would say: In good state. (sahi muslim Bk 8, Number 3328)

(Similar narration is present in Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 316)
Comment: In the above narration prophet(saw) terms his wives as ahlebayt as Prophet [saw] greeted his wives as “Assalamu’alaikum. Kaifa antum ya Ahlal Bayt“

2.

2. Sahi bukhari (Volume 6 hadith 274)…“So Allah’s Apostle got up (and addressed) the people an asked for somebody who would take revenge on ‘Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul then. Allah’s Apostle, while on the pulpit, said, “O Muslims! Who will help me against a man who has hurt me by slandering my family(ahli bayti)? By Allah, I know nothing except good about my family, and people have blamed a man of whom I know nothing except good, and he never used to visit my family except with me,”…

Comment:
In the above narration prophet(saw) terms one of his wife as ahlebayt. Prophet (S.A.W.) said to one of his wife “Ahli Baytee” (my family) on pulpit, during the incident of Ifk.

3.

3. Sahi muslim (Bk 23, Number 4918) Ibrahim reported: I said to Aswad if he had asked the Mother of the Believers (in which utensils) he (the Holy Prophet) disapproved the preparation of Nabidh. He (Aswad) said: Yes. I said: Mother of the Believers, inform me about the utensils in which) Allah’s Apostle forbade to prepare Nabidh. She (Hadrat ‘A’isha) said: He forbade us, the members of his family [Ahlal Bayt], to prepare Nabidh in gourd, or varnished jar. I said to him: Do you remember green pitcher, and pitcher? He said: I narrated to you what I have heard; should I narrate to you which I did not hear?
Comment: In the above narration wife of prophet(saw) too considers herself to be ahlebayt.

4.
(Sahi muslim Bk 4, Number 0804) Ibn Abi Laila reported: Ka’b b. ‘Ujra met me and said: Should I not offer you a present (and added): The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came to us and we said: We have learnt how to invoke peace upon you; (kindly tell us) how we should bless you. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Say:” O Allah: bless Muhammad and his family as Thou didst bless the family of Ibrahim. Verily Thou art Praiseworthy and Glorious, O Allah.”

Comment :
In this narration you find that prophet(saw) just mentioned his “family” and showed how we should bless him and his “family”. However in the next narration you will notice that prophet(saw) explained that from whom his family was formed.

(Sahi muslim Bk 4, Number 0807) Abu Humaid as−Sa’idi reported: They (the Companions of the Holy Prophet) said: Apostle of Allah, how should we bless you? He (the Holy Prophet) observed: Say:” O Allah! bless Muhammad, his wives and his offspring as Thou didst bless Ibrahim, and grant favours to Muhammad, and his wives and his offspring as Thou didst grant favours to the family of Ibrahim; Thou art Praiseworthy and Glorious.”
Comment: In the above narration though he taught us how to send blessings on him and his family as in previous narration,But here prophet(saw) in a crystal clear manner teaches us that his wives and his progeny collectively forms his family. And they too are part of his family, because if he wanted to include his wives in the blessings and they were not from his family(aal) , Then the wordings would have been “his wives and his family(aal)” which was not the case here and It seems that he knew that there will be some ignorants who will deny wives of prophet(saw) to be part of his blessed family, that is why prophet(saw) in an explicit manner in the above narration showed that his wives and his progeny collectively forms his family. That’s why instead of using “family” as in previous narration here prophet(Saw) elaborated that who his family were. Prophet(saw) here used family for hz ibrahim’s(as) family as he knew that there will be no dispute of his wives being from his family but for his own he had to clear that his wives and his progeny collectively forms his family because he didn’t want to leave people to be misguided by some deviants who might say that wives of prophet(Saw) were not from his family. Thus instead of using “family” like he used for hz ibrahim(as)’s family , he used wives and offspring.

5.
In Musnad Ahmad (Hadith no. 18464), Zaid ibn Arqam(ra) said: His wives are the members of his family(ahlebayt) but here the members of his family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden.” (Ahmad, Hadith no. 18464)
Comment: hz zaid(ra) clearly said that wives of prophet(Saw) are his ahlebayt. And regarding that zakat is forbidden for ahlebayt, then this rule even applies to wives of prophet(Saw) as we see in the next narration.

6.
Musannaf ibn abi shaybah (chapter Laa tahillu al-sadqa ala bani hashim)
Narrated with sahi sanad From Ibn Abu Malika [narrated] that: Khaled Ibn Saeed sent a cow from the Sadaqah to Aisha, so she sent it back and said: We are the Aal (the family) of Muhammad Salah Allah ‘Alaihi wa Salam the sadaqah is not permissible for us
Comment : This narration from musannaf ibn abi shaybah also proves that the wives of prophet(Saw) did consider themselves to be not eligible to receive sadaqa and they were from aal e muhammed(Saw).
p.s. aal and ahl both implies the same meaning and can be called as synonyms.

Arn’t I from ahlulbayt? He said: inshallah yes.

Note: In this narration prophet (pbuh) clearly links a wife to inshallah because it is contingent upon her staying his wife. Whereas the others will remain his family. So, the wife is ahl bayt as long as she is wife and she stops being so when and if you are divorced. Moreover, Saying inshallah does not have to mean doubt. There is an occurrence in the Qur’an of this term where clearly it is not doubt.

Some other narrations to prove that wives of prophet(Saw) are his ahlebayt

Then Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها said: O Messenger of Allh enter me with them, he said: Verily, you are form my family”. [Maqrizi Fadail ahlalbayt p 26]

4 .

Shahr narrated to us, he said: I heard Umm Salamah, when the news of the death of Al-Husien ibn Ali came to her, she said: They killed him, May Allah kill them, and they humilated him May Allah curse them. For I saw the Messenger of Allah [Salah Allah 'Alaihi wa Salam] and Fatima had come to him one day with a Burmah (a pot, pan, or jar … was made from stone in the past) of hers from which she made a ‘Asida (a dish made by mixing flour with ghee, butter, etc and then cooked) carrying it in a plate of hers, until she placed it in front of him.
He told her: Where is your cousin? She said: He is at home. [So] he said: go and call him, and bring forth your sons.

She (i.e. Um Salama) said: she came leading her sons each one of them, and Ali walking on their trail, until they entered upon the Messenger of Allah [Salah Allah 'Alaihi wa Salam]. He sat them (i.e Al-Hasan & Al-Husien) on his lap, and Ali sat on his right, and Fatima sat on his left.

Umm Salama said: he pulled a cloak (a Kisa) from under me … and then he [Salah Allah 'Alaihi wa Salam] wrapped it around them all, taking the edges of the Cloak by his left hand, and pointing with his right hand towards his Lord [Exalted and Glorified is He] and said: “O Allah, remove from them the Rijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.), and purify them with a thorough purification”, three times.

She said: [So] I said: O Messenger of Allah, am I not [also] from your Ahl?

[So] he said: Yes, Indeed, [you are].

He said: So enter the Kisa (the cloak) [too].

She said: So I entered after he completed his supplication to his cousin Ali, his sons, and his daughter Fatima ['Alaihim Al Salam]. (Musnad ibn Hanbal, v6,p298)

5 . Reported Ali ibn Harb Mausuli, from Zyed ibn Habab, Husayn ibn Vakad, Yazeed Nakhu, from Ikrima, from ibn Abbas, that he said about this verse: “O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying” —”it was revealed concerning to wifes of prophet “. (see also “Siyar alamun nubala” by Zahabi 2/208) (Ibn Kasir in his commentary (6/410))

And the same was reported by Suyuti in “Durr al mansur” with refference to ibn Asakir and Abu Hatim.

6 . Abu’l-Qasim ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Sarraj informed us> Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub> al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali ibn ‘Affan> Abu Yahya al-Hamani> Salih ibn Musa al-Qurashi> Khusayf> Sa‘id ibn Jubayr> Ibn ‘Abbas who said: “This verse was revealed about the wives of the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace (Allah’s wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing)”.

7 . Aqil ibn Muhammad al-Jurjani informed us (through a verbal authorisation)> al-Mu‘afa ibn Zakariyya al-Qadi> Muhammad ibn Jarir> Ibn Humayd> Yahya ibn Wadih> al-Asbagh> ‘Alqamah> ‘Ikrimah who said, regarding the words of Allah, exalted is He (Allah’s wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household): “This verse was not revealed about whom you think it was revealed. Rather, it is about the wives of the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace”. ‘Ikrimah used to proclaim this in the marketplace.

8.Imam Suyuti (rah) quotes this hadith:
وأخرج ابن سعد عن عروة رضي الله عنه { إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ** قال: يعني أزواج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نزلت في بيت عائشة رضي الله عنها
Imam Ibn S’ad (ra) narrates from Urwa (ra) who said: Ahlul Bayt refers to wives of Prophet (Peace be upon him). This verse was revealed regarding Hadrat Aisha (ra). (Tabaqat, Ibn Sad narrated in volume 8, p 199)

I’m quite surprised the way br Molson4u has used the argument of infallibility and spotless piety in favour of Ahlul Bait of the Prophet pbuh, ironically majority of Sunni’s and all of Shi’a brothers don’t consider the Mothers of the Maumineen as an integral part of Holy Prophet’s pbuh consecrated household (Ahlul Bait), and wilfully neglected to mention that the 33 Ayaa of Sura’a Ahza’ab is actually addressing to the venerated wives of Holy Prophet in these words from the Ayaa 32 of the same Sura’a;

Quran 33:32 “O Consorts of the Prophet! (Ya Nisa’a Al Nabi) ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too complaisant of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just”.

Quran 33:33 “And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye Members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless”.

Now how conveniently our Shi’a brothers and sisters use to alienate the noble wives of the great Prophet pbuh from their self concocted and created dogma of infallibility from the dignified household of Hazrat Ali Karam Allahu Wajhu is evident from the post of our dear friend Molson4u.

Further to note this important point here that according to a very influential and famous Orientalist scholar Dr W.M Watt the concepts of infallibility and divinely ordained Imamete of Shi’a Islam were heavily influenced and borrowed from their (Shi'as) intermingling with the polytheists of Mesopotamia (Modern day’s Iraq) and Mages of Iranian regions and seems to have no connection whatsoever from the earliest recorded teachings of Arab Muslims.

Allah told us to look at the piety of the person in question not the fact whether that person is syed or not...... all muslims were declared equal by Rasool SAW in His last sermon

Tafseer of Surah Ahzab (33:33)

Then Quran introduced another kind of Infalliable people as Imams of our Ummah. So in Surah Ahzab (33:33) Allah says:

"And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you ye Members of the Family(Ahlaybaat) and to make you pure and spotless(Infalliable)"

Brother I am sorry it is going to hurt you but the facts are facts. To understand the meaning of Surah Ahzab (33:32) you need to see who Allah is addressing to in the previous Ayat (33:32). Allah is addressing to the Wifes of Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Following is the translation of both Ayat (33:32-32):

يَا نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَاءِ ۚ إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا

Yusuf Ali 32: O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear ((Allah)), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just.

Yusuf Ali 33: And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

The context in which this verse occurs makes it manifest that the word ahl al-bait (people of the house) here implies the wives of the Holy Prophet (upon whom be Allah's peace), because the address begins with: "O wives of the Prophet," and they are the addressees in the whole discourse preceding it as well as following it. Moreover, the word ahl al-bait in Arabic is used precisely in the sense in which the word "household" is used in English, which includes both a man's wife and children. No one would exclude the wife from the "household." The Qur'an itself has used this word at two other places besides this, and at both the wife is included in its sense, rather as the most important member of the family. In Surah Hud, whcn the angels give the Prophet Abraham the good news of the birth of a son, his wife exclaims: "Shall I bear a child now when I have grown too old, and this husband of mine has also become old?" The angels say: What! Are you surprised at Allah's decree, O people of Abraham's houschold? Allah's mercy and blessings are upon you." In Surah Al-Qasas, whcn the Prophet Moses reaches the Pharaoh's house as a suckling, and the Pharaoh's wife is in search of a suitable nurse for the child, the Prophet Moses' sister says, "Shall I tell you of a household whose people will bring him up for you and look after him well?" Thus, the Arabic idiom and the usage of the Qur'an and the context of this verse, 'all point clearly to the fact that the Holy Prophet's wives as well as his children are included in his ahl al-bait; rather the more correct thing is that the verse is actually addressed to the wives and the children become included in the household only because of the sense of the word. That is why according to lbn 'Abbas and 'Urwah bin Zubair and `Ikrimah, the word ahl al-bait in this verse implies the wives of the Holy Prophet.

But if somebody says that the word ahl al-bait has been used only for the wives and none else can be included in it, it will also be wrong. Not only this that the word "household" includes all the members of a man's family, but the Holy Prophct has himself explained that this includes even himself. According to Ibn Abi Hatim, once when Hadrat `A'ishah was asked about Hadrat `Ali, she said, Do you ask me about the person who was among the most loved ones of the Holy Prophet and whose wife was the Holy Prophet's daughter and most beloved to him?" Then she related the event whcn the Holy Prophet had called Hadrat 'Ali and Fatimah and Hasan and Husain (may Allah be pleased with them all) and covered them alI with a sheet of cloth and prayed: "O Allah, these are my houschold, remove uncleanness from them and make them pure." Hadrat 'A'ishah says, "I said: I also am included among your household (i.e. I may also be covered under the sheet and prayed for). " Thereupon the Holy Prophet replied" You stay out: you, . of course, are already included." A great many Ahadith bearing on this subject have been related by traditionists like Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ahmad, Ibn Jarir, Hakim, Baihaqi, etc. on the authority of Abu Said Khudri, Hadrat 'A'ishah, Hadrat Anas, Hadrat Umm Salamah, Hadrat Wathilah bin Aqsa' and some other Companions, which show that the Holy Prophet declared Hadrat 'AIi and Fatimah and their two sons as his ahl al-bait. Therefore, the view of those who exclude them from the ahl al-bait is not correct.

Similarly the view of those people also is not correct, who, on the basis of the above-cited Ahadith, regard the wives of the Holy Prophet as excluded from his ahl al-bait. In the first place, anything which has been clearly stated in the Quran cannot be contradicted on the basis of a Hadith. Secondly, these Ahadith also do not have the meaning that is put on them. As related in some traditions that the Holy Prophet did not cover Hadrat 'A'ishah and Hadrat Umm Salamah under the sheet of cloth which he put on the four members of his family, dces not mean that he had excluded those ladies from his "household." But it means that the wives were already included in ahl al-bait, because the Qur'an, in fact, had addressed them as ahl al-bait. The Holy Prophet, however, thought that the apparent words of the Qur'an might cause somebody the misunderstanding about these members that they were excluded from the ahl al-bait. Therefore, he felt the need for clarification in their case and not in the case of his wives.
A section of the people have not only misconstrued this verse to the extent that they have made the word ahl al-bait exclusively applicable to Hadrat `AIi and Fatimah and their children to the exclusion of the holy wives, but have gone even further and concluded wrongly from its words "Allah only intends to remove uncleanliness from you and purify you completely", that Hadrat 'Ali and Fatimah and their children are infallable like the Prophets of Allah. They say that "uncleanliness" implies error and sin, and, as Allah says, these ahl al-bait have been purified of this, whereas the words of the verse do not say that uncleanliness has been removed from them and they have been purified. But the words are to the effect: "Allah intends to remove uncleanliness from you and purify you completely. " The context also does not tell that the object here is to mention the virtues and excellences of the Holy Prophet's household. On the contrary, they have been advised here what they should do and what they should not, because Allah intends to purify them. In other words, they have been told that if they adopted such and such an attitude and way of life, they will be blessed with cleanliness, otherwise not. However, if the words "Allah intends to remove uncleanliness from yon . . . " are taken to mean that AIlah has made them infallable, then is no reason why all the Muslims who perform their ablutions before offering the Prayer are not held as infallable, because about them also Allah says: "But Allah wills to purify you and complete His blessings upon you." (Al-Ma'idah: 6)

babadeena, you read Quran that you don't believe and you listen to Hadith, you don't believe , what can i do.
As per Qur'an;
Undoubtedly, Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet, the Communicator of unseen news, O you who believe! send upon him Blessings and salute him fully well in abundance

Your problems:
LINEAGE:Perhaps Brother Pakistani1947 already wrote for you that all humans are from the race of
Adam & Eve without any exception and then from those ARZALOON who were on the boat of Noah(as).
Now if you do not believe in Quran but some other book, then it is your serious problem.

AALAY MUHAMMAD:Prophet(PBUH) did not have any surviving male child. Quran is witness on this.
Now your problem is that you per force , like your cult, try to make Auladay Abu Talib as Auladay Rasool.

Darood: If you read very carefully the Quranic Ayat about Darood, it says "SALOO Alay HEE". Will
you try to read and be attentative to this, i doubt you will? Moreover Allah also make "Yusaleey" on
all Believers. If you do not find verse please let me know.

SAADAAT: This is an exploited arabic word by your cult. It has only been used ONCE in whole
of Quran and in that sense it is for alarming situation. Are you from the same Saadat then
wait and see at the Day of Judgement.

ONE LAST QUESTION: Does wife or do wives live inside the Bait (House) or outside the bait(house).
I was not aware that your way of living is that wives live in other places which are arabically not
called "Bait".

All Syeds and Sadaat & Company limited now silent? The big question is:
a) Are we all from the progeny of those who are at the boat of NOAH(as);
b) If yes, then who were those people, what was their social status, with which
title those people were called by the Malhah (Chieftiens);
c) If No, then from where we started, Did Allah destroyed all, except
the forefathers of those who are now, Syed, Sadaat, Choundharies, Nawab,
and whatever, except humans?

HI, what is the choice?

Just Marry, if she is muslim. Do not go in details which effects muslim society. Because of making such differences in a muslim society we are facing so many unnecessary problems.

I Agree with User Canadian " The last khutba of Rasool-i-Pak(SWAS) in which he said" Na Arabi ko Ajmi Per our Na Ajmi ko Arabi per foquiat haasil hai masiwai Iman aur Taqwa Key"

and also agree with user Night HAwk "Its a socio-cultural taboo based on Hinduistic cultural imprints of caste system."

so true
every muslim will be treated upon his/her good or bad deeds
I as muslim and I as syed not so satisfy with the cultural or traditional values of our society.

Just read Rasool-i-Pak's last khutba which is self explanatory.

The Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) Last Sermon
This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat' (in Mecca).
After praising, and thanking Allah he said:
"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived...
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.
O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.
O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people".
