It is sad when people have either short memory or simply too lazy to know or find out. The real 'talibans' of Afghanistan were the product of the very situation in Karachi. Once the Russians left with their tails tucked between their legs that vacuum was filled by 'war-lords' who started to terrorize the general population with rape, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, no-go-areas, etc. When the Afghanis got tired of all this then the 'talibs' left the madarsas and rose against the injustice perpetrated by War-Lords. With the support of the people these talibs later came to be known as Talibans. People support was the reason for their speedy rise and taking control of almost all of Afghanistan in a very short time. Seems to me that until the People of Karachi do not 'rise' against these 'Bhatta' khors, target killers, kidnapers for ransom, mobile phone-motor bike-car snachers then this will go on and on. And we all know who really is responsible for all this in Karachi.....don't we???
