I watched the FMs press conference and a reporter did ask the question about jamming of air defense systems... but SMQ diverted that question to f-16s were scrambled. I think this F-16 is a diversion tactic. The air defenses are the actual question mark. F-16s are not built for intercepting. If we rely on f-16 for intercepting then IAF will bomb Islamabad, land in srinagar before F-16 are dispatched to intercept them. A strong and fitting response would have been to order BUK missle operators to shoot down the intruders.

You do understand both India and Pakistan both have the capability to strike dehli and islamabad without actually crossing into each others air space. If radars were jammed then how were the IAF sorties intercepted.

Ive said it before.....dont expect indian foot soldiers to attack across the LOC. Our SSG eating snakes and live chickens on the border will have no role....unko kal ki pata hi nahi chala na pata chalega . It is AIR FORCE which WINS modern wars not the Army. I dunno where you are getting at? We cannot and should not and thank god DID NOT shoot down any planes in Indian Airspace. The one group that did cross over did not stay in Pakistani air space long enough to be engaged or to have SAMs fired upon it. And you cannot fire upon any aircraft that hasn't breached. India would have a field day if one of its jets was shot down and crashed in India regardless of where it was shot at.

When Turkey shot down Russian jet in 2015, it fell over Syrian territory but it was independently verified via heat signature, satelite and radar that it had crossed into Turkey for less than 20 seconds. Im just stating the obvious facts.

Our border and their border situation is very different. Both countrys patrol very close to the border on the regular. If you adopt such rules of engagement, wont be long before one side fucks up and fires upon aircraft that had no intention of ever crossing, causing unwanted chaos.

Such tight patrolling during the cold war has caused severe fuckups by both the Russians and Americans in the past.
