Russia and even China will not remain silent if NATO/USA dare attack Syria who is a close ally of Iran as well. Yes, it will get very much out of hand effecting Pakistan and India as well at a very crucial time when the American's are about to exit Afghanistan. So you see many nations are involved as the great game enters it's climax. Another word for it is World War 3(cry)(cry)
