Imran Khan criticised ‘dangerous’ US policy
LAHORE: A US congressional delegation led by Representative Stephen Lynch, in January, met with PTI chief Imran Khan. The meeting’s picturesque setting belied Khan’s often pointed and critical statements on US policy, which he characterised as ‘dangerous and in need of change’. According to US embassay cables leaked by WikiLeaks and reported by The Guardian, Khan’s litany of criticisms ranged from accusations of US failure to support democracy in Pakistan to drone operations being a driving force of militancy and radicalisation. Khan urged the US to seek out “alternative points of views” because the Pakistan government could not be trusted to give it an accurate assessment of the real terrorist threat in Pakistan. He also called on the US to engage local tribes to deal with the Taliban and other terrorist forces, and argued that the US would have to scale back its operations in Afghanistan to make way for talks. Durng the meeting, Khan delivered blunt views on what he considered to be failings of US policy in Pakistan and, by extension, in Afghanistan. Lynch opened the meeting noting that with the Obama administration had come a new opportunity for change in US policy toward Pakistan and for “resetting” the relationship between the two allies.( daily times monitor)

Only Imran not under US influence: PTI

Thursday, December 02, 2010 By our correspondent ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claimed on Wednesday that its Chairman Imran Khan was the only leader, who was not under the influence of the United States, as the WikiLeaks created ripples about Pakistani leadership.
The PTI Central Information Secretary, Omar Sarfraz Cheema, in a statement issued here by the party’s Central Secretariat, noted that Pakistan needed a sincere leadership who would not compromise on national interests.
“Today, the nation, along with PTI members, feel proud about their leader, Imran, who is not under US influence as revealed by WikiLeaks”, he added. He said corruption and incompetence of the current breed of rulers was unveiled by different international organisations and by WikiLeaks revealing the true opinion of the world leaders about these puppet rulers. Cheema said these puppets of imperialist masters had made this land a gateway for every one declaring its own nation as “slaves”.(www.news.com.pk)

I am glad to see that at-least our country have ONE politician who is not influenced by USA ..... after a very long time in history of Pakistan. Now it is our duty to bring that person in power and give Him at-least one chance to change the fate of the poor people of this country, of our nation and our beloved country .... So come on it is time to wake up guys NOW OR NEVER !!!!!

i was listening him imran khan on some talk show where he said that since 1947 our western borders south waziristan were calm and peaceful but since 2001 the problem started from 2001 and continued till today these south waziristan are the same people who helped us in gaining azad kashmir for pakistan we never had any problem in western borders only had problem with eastern border India and now its opposite and look what that son of 1000 fathers uncle mushy had done with south waziristan people he has made them enemies of Pakistan

Welcoming the group at his grand home outside Islamabad, Khan hosted an "hour-long, largely one-sided, and somewhat uncomfortable conversation".
To defeat the Taliban the US had to understand the "tribal character" of the militants, he said, and described the Pakistani drive against the Taliban in 2009 as "stage-managed" for US consumption."

he is good person and is support him too but i must say, world simply functions a little different then what we expect from Pakistan's rulers
