..But quotes being narrated by JH. It can be proved by 2 means only. either we should have physical evidence or we have logical follow up. Since we do not have any recording, video or witness to the alleged quotes, we should take the only other option available.

We know Hashmi had reputation of a fighter and rebel when he joined PTI. We also know that Hashmi has record of unchanged stand against Army rule. We also know that hashmi was insulted badly by NS for not acknowledging Hashmi's sacrifices. Given this information, let us put somelogicalleads into it.

1. If we know this much about Hashmi's past and ideology. IK had no such info about Hashmi ? For sure he knew Hashmi well and offered him to be head of the party.

2. How could IK share his passion for Army rule with Hashmi, a sworn opponent to army rule ? suppose IK consulted with Hashmi by mistake, why did not Hashmi rebuffed the idea and called a high level meeting to discuss the matter. It must have been a matter of life and death for Hashmi.

3. IK's so called passion for army must have been disclosed in any manner in media, like his verbal support in media or meeting Army Chief and others so often. He had pretext of operation in North Waziristan but he was never seen meeting with Generals alone or so often. He rather disappointed Army by contesting the proposed operation against TTP on principle grounds.

4. Hashmi quotes IK's words during the defining moments of Azadi March but the words are bomb shells which could not be delayed or digested by person like Hashmi. If he had traced Army behind the march, he would have not only intervened in readiness for march, he would have alienated himself in early stages but he remained very much part of it.

5. Why did he oppose only moving to PM house while he already knew it was Army play, in advance.

6. It seems that he was quite in agreement with IK about the goals of the march and differences appeared in deciding the strategy. IK wanted to make it a decisive event whereas Hashmi wanted to avoid any hassle. He wanted it going smooth even at the cost of possible failure.

7. Hashmi was visibly not accommodated with TUQ. TUQ happened to be a sharp and assertive personality same like Hashmi and a broken, sick and loosing energy fast Hashmi discovered a potential challenger in TUQ who could steal the show of PTI which Hashmi was leading as party head. The possible loss of limelight, rebirth and media show casing made him quite furious.

Harsh reaction by Hashmi against IK is actually pointed to TUQ who almost snatched the only success scripted for Hashmi in remaining political time for him. Hashmi failed to create rift between IK and TUQ. Being old enough, he is roaring like an injured lion now and obviously hell bent to punish IK by leveling illogical and unproven blames. This Dead Man Walking is not in position to damage the revolution because PTI has gained momentum required for success and every worker takes responsibility like IK.

Despite his thankless attitude, I do not call him a traitor. For me he is only an old exhausted man gone crazy.

Talat, Hamid Mir, Nusrat Javeed have all said that - but Pootians disregard them as being sold out.

Some other people have made that claim too that Army is behind this and without theie agreement no one can do anything.

Seriously, I do not think so. It is very easy to conclude that Army is backing protests but if you ponder, there are several occassions like protesters marching to PM house, crackdown starting etc. and even then Army didnt intervene so far. So we all should hold on our horses and do not be judgmental about Army/PTI/PAT nexus.

You raise great points. As I have said before good people like yourself want to believe that there is some good in people. They try real hard to believe these people who say that they want to do good by the people. They want to given them a chance even after the very last chance (like tareekh pay tareekh for inqilaab by the inqilaabi). Its hard for these good souls that these so called leaders/people are either not who they pretend to be or just plain incompetent or incapable. When we find the truth then it hurts.

I keep repeating that I am a cynic but still I try not to sound too cynical at the risk of alienating the young ones on here. The truth is that I have been saying this for a while that with the way things were if the inqilabi was real and had even an iota of inqilab in him then we would have seen the "khalq-e-khuda" sweep through
the elections.

There had been so many alarms that had went off after that Minar-e-Pakistan jalsa in 2011.

I guess whoever thought that when the inqilabi was proclaiming revolution, with his arm around that great comrade, sh. rashid, that the glad tiding was soon goin got come true was living in la la land.

I wonder if Lenin or Che or Castro or Mao or Khomeini or the leaders of the people who stormed Bastille during the french revolution ever gave tareekh pay taareekh for revolution :)

LAHORE: PML-N Central Media Coordinator Muhammad Mehdi has alleged that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri planned to attack and occupy the Parliament House, Presidency and Prime Ministers House two days ago.
Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, he claimed the aim of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leadership was to get some bodies to give a boost to their sinking political boat.
He said the government had exercised restraint until the last moment and removed police from the route of the marchers when they had entered the Red Zone and then when they marched towards the PMs House.

But, Mehdi lamented, the protesters changed their route and tried to enter the Presidency. Announcements were made through loudspeakers asking activists to occupy the Parliament House, he added.
He claimed the government only discharged its duty of protecting and ensuring sanctity of state institutions when the protesters assaulted the symbols of state.
Responding to a query, the PML-N leader said both the PTI and PAT leaders had brought supporters women and children with them, but sent their own children abroad. He said Imran sent both his sons to London on Aug 12, while Dr Qadris family went to Canada before the start of the march. Similarly, he claimed, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahis son Moonis Elahi had also gone abroad.

Referring to PTI President Javed Hashmis press conference earlier on Sunday, Mehdi said it exposed Imran and Dr Qadris anti-people and insensitive approach and made it clear the two parties were working on a foreign agenda for blocking investment in the country and stopping Gwadar Port from becoming operational.
AWP: The Awami Workers Party has reiterated its support for the parliamentary democratic system in the country, and has once again rejected the dubious methods of the PTI and PAT, warning that the mayhem that has unfolded in front of the Parliament House and PMs House may descend into total breakdown of constitutional rule.
The AWP said democratic political forces had already been forced into retreat by the announcement on the night of Aug 28 that the military would act as a facilitator between the government and the protesting parties, and the threat of a direct military intervention was growing greater by the day.
AWP President Abid Hasan Minto, Chairman Fanoos Gujjar and General Secretary Farooq Tariq emphasised the complete bankruptcy of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri, who were holding the country hostage to their narrow agenda.
The AWP leadership said only the left had a workable political programme for genuine democracy and fundamental change in Pakistan. Right-wing populists like Dr Qadri and Imran had cheapened the idea of revolution by associating it with their elitist, megalomaniacal and reactionary politics, they added.
The party leaders asserted any anti-democratic move by the establishment under the guise of anti-government protests should be opposed at all costs as despite the civilian governments major economic and political failings, it retained a mandate to fulfil its term in office.
