Re: بکائو میڈیا
I guess the media is also becoming more and more a part of the status quo. It seems to be vulnerable to political manipulation by various groups for their own interests. Anyway, change has to come whether the media supports it or not. There will be a time in the near future when they'll be forced to give more coverage to PTI...because there will be a lot of public pressure for the same. The litmus test would be while the campaign for the elections is on...
As for Ahsan Iqbal, the less said the better. These so-called "intellectuals" from the PML-N keep exposing themselves again and again by blindly defending Nawaz Sharif at every occasion. Javaid Hashmi at least has the guts to ask tough questions from his own leadership. This latest allegation of IK trying to help Zardari is preposterous. Any one who has listened to his complete speech will notice he talked about Zardari's corruption (loot maar) as well and the "naaras" by the crowd were mostly against Zardari. He talked about both Nawaz and Zardari being of the same ilk. Both have assets abroad, undeclared and both have not paid taxes as they should. He will obviously target Nawaz more because he's the Prime Minister in waiting and also ruling Punjab for the last three years, including Faisalabad where this jalsa was.
And as for personal attacks, attacking some one for not paying taxes and having undeclared assets is not a personal matter. It affects the public at large, because if the rich don't pay taxes, the poor do with indirect taxation which is currently the case. So it is not a personal matter of Nawaz Sharif or Zardari or any of the rich who don't pay their due of taxes while being millionaires. Instead of answering these points, the N-league unfortunately diverts attention here and there, because they know they cannot defend their leadership. Sorry state of affairs the PML-N has found itself in.
