yar i was waiting for this uk comparsion comment :) every time there is thread about taxes, petrol prices etc... he comes n say uk may tu price abhi behi zedia hia, why on earth would any1 compare US N UK with pakistan... if uk or other countries have higher taxes then also look at the living standards, social benefit system in those countries, their moral values of parliment member, who resigns on minor allegations overspending of allowances, do we have all that here.

Pakistan oil prices for consumer is cheapest in whole region. Just compare Pakistani prices with India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Every government has increased taxes on oil prices for consumer. UK has almost double their taxes and petrol is still above 1 but it should 0.70.

Please dont make this comparison unless you are willing to compare the following as well.
1. Transportation costs for oil
2. GDP
3. per capita income

Bringing UK into the same discussion as Pakistan is laughable.
