Debates are all about rationalising available evidences to show they make perfect sense from a particular stand point. If the argument fails under scrutiny then one's claims remains unproven. The more irrationality is brought in there, the worse it looks for the claimant of a particular standpoint. This is why religion v secularism debate are never won by either side because neither has solid basis to argue from.
This is why all religious debates end up in failure because their mullahs cannot rationalise their beliefs hence they prove they are holding on to make beliefs. This become very obvious when we see debates between atheists and theists, between people of various religions and even between the sects of the very same religion.
sir syed realised this fact that is why when he pushed for science and rationalisation he also pushed for rational interpretation of the quran as well. It always comes down to whether islam is deen or religion. If islam is deen then it cannot be irrational and if it is religion then it cannot be rational. Time is fast approaching that people who claim to uphold the quran as word of God must become scientific and rational or they are unlikely to survive onslaught of nature as things stand. It is because human population is sky high and that needs rational and scientific approach as told about in the quran.
People who try to prove the quran as word of God through irrationality do not realise the contradiction in their approach ie you cannot be rational and irrational both at the same time.
If hamzah studies the quran rationally then he will be winner always wherever he goes and whoever he opposes. It will take him time to reach that point but only if finds his way to works of people like sir syed, iqbal and parwez etc. So long as he spends his time with mullah minded people he will remain stuck and could even one day turn atheist because of not finding his way to the quran the way it should be understood.
Muslims are only going to be religious so long as they remain ignorant and under influence of indoctrination once any person is no longer ignorant and under influence of indoctrination that is when one really looks for proper way of life. If one is lucky enough to find that path one is fine otherwise all such people die confused.
So it is always better to start very early in life so that one could reach destination in time.
I know the quran is a great book but I only discovered it once I studied it myself for a very long time. It takes to ages get out of influence of mullaism. Once people leave religions for atheism they become yet more confused and baseless and the result is influence of such people on our world who guide our politics and economics. Had people studied the quran and adopted the way of life it explains, things would have been very different than they are.
The quran does not support make beliefs of mullahs but has tonnes of scientific evidences to supports its claims by way of rational arguments.
