Govt conspiring against Army, ISI, says Altaf

MQM chief has accused government of conspiring against national institutions, including Army.

Altaf Hussain said the government is not only taking anti-people steps, but also conspiring against institutions crucial to national security and solidarity such as the Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

He said weakening national security institutions is tantamount to weakening Pakistan. The government was also indulging in political victimisation, particularly of the MQM.

The MQM chief said his party always stood by the government in the hour of need, but the party now feels being backstabbed.

Why as soon as MQM goes out of power the government being labelled as anti-state? Lets see when MQM rejoins this anti-state government?

PPP’s politics of reconciliation no weakness: PM

PM Yousuf Raza Gilani has said PPP’s politics of reconciliation should not be taken as a weakness.

Addressing party workers at the Governor’s House in Quetta, the PM said the reconciliation policy had not been given by himself or President Zardari, but the late Benazir Bhutto. He said the 1973 constitution had been restored fully, and lifting of ban on third-time premiership goes in PML-N’s favour.

The PM said those pointing the finger at the PPP’s democratic policies have benefitted from the same.

About the security situation, he said the war on terror would continue. He said the world must realize Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the war. He said Pakistan wants peace in the neighbouring Afghanistan.

I don't know what's going on ... MQM goes so quick from one extreme to other that it looks fake ,even in bollywood movies such things doesn't happen, if he is saying ryt who's gonna believe him that he is same guy accusing the same govt of conspiracy against army with whom they were partner just few days back ,we can expect anything from zardari but this thing is going in his favour IF ITS TRUE ,coz now everybody's gonna say that because MQM got problem with ppp thats why Altaf is saying such things which doesn't suit a party leader

This is called immature and opportunist politics.

Hehe... Kyani is not happy with Zardari either. Zardari doesnt want relations with America to go any worse, and in busy undermining the Army. Alatf Hussain is a shrewd operator, he knows this.
