given the circumstances, i believe that Javed Hashmi's press con turned the chain of events which would have otherwise ended up much differently.
for an instance, if Army was planning to intervene and overthrow PML-N, which was by the way what PTi and PAT were targeting since the 15th of Aug when they reached Islamabad, then this sudden revelation by Javed Hashmi put them in a bad position to take over after allegedly having asked their pawns PTI and PAT to proceed towards PM house.
Democracy lovers, should thank him over that...
nevertheless, i personally believe that Javed Hashmi and all others are wrong in ascertaining that either PTI or PAT, or both of them for that matter, had anything to do with a "hidden script written by the establishment".
PTI was genuine in its cause to overthrow a corrupt Government, only they were a bit impatient in launching their movement, which left them quite isolated politically; nevertheless, they have made a name in the history of Pakistan for setting a trend against corruption and electoral rigging.
as for PAT, its leader is a shady character since several decades. Even today, he is a Canadian passport holder and wants to bring revolution in Pakistan - whereas he has strong ties with Iran to the point that reliable sources in the Pakistani media have painted him as an Iranian agent. Besides, his primary support was drawn from Majlis Wehdatul Muslimeen (MWM) which is a hard core Shia political party (no offense intended).
One of the reasons maybe the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline, another reason would be getting cozy with Saudis, and yet another would be allowing extremist Sunni elements like SSP to be too close to the Govt... all go against the interests of Iran in Pakistan, and therefore the PML-N Govt. is a big pain in the a s s for Iran.
