Govt mulls major changes in federal cabinet

ISLAMABAD: A major reshuffle in the federal cabinet is expected to take place in the first week of July, SAMAA reported on Saturday.
Following the transfer of eight ministries to provinces on June 30, several ministers will get new portfolios.
According to sources, the government has decided to name a new foreign minister in the first week of July. Sherry Rehman, Sardar Asif
Ahmed Ali and Mir Hazar Khan Bajarani are top contenders for the important portfolio.
Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Shaukatullah and Israrullah Zehri will also get new ministries.
In addition, Samina Khalid Ghurki, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain and Akram Gill are likely to be given portfolios.
The government is planning to create two new ministries, capital division and parliamentary affairs.
