Defence Protocol in Pakistan

Dear Fellows AOA,

I am interested to know, what is the defence protocol of Pakistan.

I am not sure, how the protocol works in case of sudden invasion from legal point of view.

Means, whether army already has been assigned a power to respond and engage the enemy and probably in parallel they take on board the political power for the situation.

Or the army has to wait until a green signal is given to start a combat.

Please, no personal attack... as I dont know this mechanism so I wanted to ask if somebody knows on this forum.

In My opinion Army has to wait for the green signal, why I say so is because Army has been after the last Gen. gone been told to not ever take any action till approved by politicians.

My confusion exists because the current scenario;
1. It is in the news that on May 2nd, army chief (and/or air chief) ordered the F 16 to catch the helis and shot down. From the order of the events, it seems the political leader was sleeping until 0200 am in the morning... etc.
2. The Air chief is asking for the permission from political leadership to shoot down the drone.

So the scene is not clear

The scene is clear, Army need permission to ahead. this did not have to come to this. if leaders were intelligent enough to control the situation by discussions, they missed many opportunities for a peaceful conclusion to all this, they can't even speak English, let alone convince U.S. to listen to them.

My prediction, they will mess it up again. Like what these politicians did when east wing was separating from Pakistan.

Only Allah S.W.T. will save Pakistan. My prayers are to All mighty to save Pakistan from within. Ameen
