A long awaited thread from Abbasi brother. I dont think any one would mind debating on religion and the more the discussion the more all sides come to know about one anothers views. Discussion brings every one closer but only a positive one. Targetting some sect deliberately for the purpose of maligning and imposing one views should be taken into account. No one likes that their religious elders be maligned and abused just because some one doesnt agrees with his views. I will also take care about it in future. Debates should be held with respect and it should not be done for the mere purpose of winning and losing rather for learning and exchanging. No one should be allowed to bully the other person. Difference of opinion isnt a new issue in religious circles and thus every one should be free to present their views. I would go a step ahead and say that even Qadianis who every Muslim including me says r non muslims should be allowed to participate in the debates. Even Christians and Hindus because as I know that Islam is right so I should have no fear in arguing with those on the incorrect path.

The problem is not about disagreement.In our Religion there are many schools of thought.We should " Listen " and try to understand what they are saying.The real problem is how to agree to disagree.Our brothers start abusing each other and then it becomes free for all.Anybody posts an abusive thread should be warned in the first place and then stopped from taking part in that debate.

You are my friend, So tum per 100 khoon maaf. But please don't say what you said above until you have full control in this site. Just yesterday your beloved MR. G without any proof as usual passed comment on some one and to one member also as "******" , and no one from your team took any notice of it. Is that NOT an OFFEND for you? It's been months now to notify you and your team BUT looks like your hands are tied in this regard.

Anyways, come to the topic now. Here is my say in this:

1-Most people in this site are NOT expert Aalims, they are ordinary people who have limited knowledge of Islam and even their own sects, BUT YES, they are just experts of copy and paste.
2-So how come by allowing these internet surfers to debate on very sensitive issues that have not been solved in centuries by top scholars of Islam, your web site will be able to bring a cohesive solution of all these? How come?
3- On the other hand, as I said, majority of us have very limited knowledge of Islam, it will be better if we gain something from this site, but now, question is, what that SOMETHING should be?
I must say we need to know all the good things in Islam and I am sure all these goodies are common in every sect of Islam.
4- For example, telling a lie, is something that is not allowed in every sect, so why not you develop a mechanism that just allow the members to post ONLY on Islamic ideology and nothing else.
5- Why don't we promote basic Islamic practices? We should leave all the other details to those who have spent their lives in researching Quran and Ahadiths.
6- As a normal muslim, we only need to know how we live our lives as per our religious beliefs. What are the best Islamic practices and the standards available for us.
7- But still if we want to know more details and want to learn different sects of Islam , internet has tons of websites dedicated on these topics, we should go their and satisfy our appetite. Siasat.pk is certainly NOT a place for all these debates.
8- If I post to not to abuse any person because Islam says so, my post should not be deleted. But if I post that we should offer our salats (prayers) with open hands or closed hands, then it must NOT be allowed.

I am new to this Sight, and I don't if this is the right thread for this discussion but I am very disturbed about the kind of TV talk shows and other entertainment shows and Dramas of Pakistani TV channels. I think we need to start some kind of a Tehreek. Start with banning Mathira on vibe TV and Begum Nawazish. Please start calling these channels and Pemra offices across Pakistan. As a Muslim Nation Islami jamhuria Pakistan we can not afford to have these kind of vulgarity. And please NO INDIAN shows and music videos either. We are sick of it.

No formalities at all, feel free to say any thing as you like and I assure you, it does not hurt, because it is from a friend.

As far as G concerned, I was really tough with him, trust me up to most and extremest level. But I really don't know, what to say, I should say he has become exceptional case, I do expect from him to make sure, what ever is he talking, is in real hurting someone badly, Any ways, at this moment, I have my core issue to settle Islamic discussion, I am very hopeful, that this time on our forum level, we will control this issue for ever, Insha Allah.

Im sure you and your team has a challenging task ahead, as your agenda states - "Keep every Pakistani under Pakistani flag, with full freedom of speech and dignity." Idea bohat acha hai but you see, hum logon main tolerance to hear the other one out hai hi nahin.

I sincerely hope and pray that you and you team works it out, and that the members of the forum abide by the rules, coz you can only take the horse to the lake but you can not make it drink it. Excuse me if I am being too optimistic here, but once your strategy works, maybe it can be tried on pan pakistan.
