Pakistan going to get full membership in SCO, that's where Pakistan is looking at, especially the establishment, So its going to be again two blocks, US and NATO vs SCO

SCO is not fully functioned yet and please dnt compare it with NATO or EU..Although Putin is trying his best to make this organization the NATO of Asia but China is looking the other way.China want the economic control over the member countries and want to unite them under One banner(Largest Energy Exporters To China) because they all are energy riched and China will be depenedent on them instead of US backed Arabs who can sell their mothers for defending their thrones, while Russia on the other hand is planning to make it a military shield against NATO.But without India this dream will not come true as India is a rising power and west has its eyes on India for countering China..Chinese President and premiers who had recently visited India,requested them to Join SCO this shows that SCO needs India Russians also requested India to join the council..

What you say makes sense BUT India will not join this alliance as India is not on good terms with either China or Pakistan certainly in no certain terms from a defence cooperation perspective. And certainly they will never make this move at the expense of alienating the Europeans and Americans from whom they are now buying military equipment in the billions.

How do you suppose this will work when they buy billions of arms from NATO but do a defence pact with Russia and China ?? ...Clearly thats not their strategic direction.

Their direction is clear and they want to go into the NATO camp. Whats to say that NATO wont offer them some sort of provisional membership ??(bigsmile)

Yea this could be an option,and India will defenetly ask US for Security council permanent membership on the expense of getting observatory status in NATO..Only Britians and US could let india inn..
