Business Ideas for 4.5 million PKRs

Dear Brothers,

One of the relatives have a jama poonji of little less than 5 million PKrs. He has been brainstorming for business ideas in Lahore, Pakistan. Please let me know if you have valuable suggestions with the Capital required that I can pass to them..

My suggestions to him were:
- A Small School
- A Quality restaurant
- Agricultural Land

with this amount the best thing i can think of is to start a fruit canning business. there is a lot of fruit that goes wasted and is available very cheap.. can export easily. i will be moving to kpk and do the same but i am watching the performance of PTI . Lets see what they do .. i dont want to leave USA and jump in the fire blindly

If you are asking for business ideas on an online forum, perhaps you or your friend are not ready to open up a business.

Buy Askari (Pakistan Army), Government or Corporate Bonds. They pay a yearly interest rate of 10% to 18% per year. That means he can earn about Rs9,000 per month on it.

Dear bro, not getting international projects is the only reason that i am unable to start software business :( let me know if you have a clue to getting such projects on a regular basis as I myself am an experienced software engineer and i have a team also but we are not having any international software projects.

Best suggestion so far; however, if the interest rate is 10% to 18% then he should be getting alot more than Rs 9,000 per month. My suggestion would be which ever business he wants to get into, he should first get a job in that business, get some experience and get the feel for the business, because that is what he would be doing for the rest of his life.

The safest one could be: buy a small plot (5-Marla). Build a home on it. Sell it. It could give U 2-5 lakh in 2-3 months time period.

Price of plot in a moderate area = 10-20 Lakh (normally depends upon locality)
Construction Cost = 10-15 Lakh.

Profit = 2-5 Lakh.

Restaurant in Pakistan are never enough. Do you know, Visiting a new resturaunt is the only Entertainment/activity in most of the cities in Pakistan? Recently visited Pakistan and this is certainly the fact.

Are you kidding me? This is a lot harder than you think. Managing that team If you have no expertise what so ever? Only people who are IT professionals can do this...not everyone
