I do not see much logic in this argument. Province is an administrative issue not ethnic. India has divided several of their provinces. Other countries in the world do it all the time. In Karachi only 60% are Mohajir, remaining 40% are non Mohajir. Real issue is that those funds which are collected in Karachi, 90% of those are spent in Interior Sindh. Having seperate province does not mean that only Mohajir will get benefited. Everyone who lives in Karachi shall have the right. The reason Sindhi politician make it such a big issue and declare it as holy cow because they do not want to loose all the money the get in the name of Interior Sindh. Ironically, despite taking 90% of Sindh budget in the name of Interior for last 60 years, the life of ordinary Sindhi has not changed a bit and all money is taken by big landlords. If Sindhi would treat Karachi as their own city, gave fair share in jobs and developmental fund, then no one would ask for a seperate province today. If you want Karachi to feel like that its part of Sindh then you have to treat them as part of Sindh. Blame that Mohajir do not adopt Sindhi language or culture is unfair. Do Pathan or Punjabi in Sindh adopt Sindhi language or culture? As a matter of fact where Mohajir are fewer in Interior Sindh they have adopted Sindhi language & culture. To be honest the reason we are having this discussion today because for last 60 years we did not become one Pakistani Nation and did not treat each other fairly. Matter of fact is that still majority of Mohajir love & respect Sindhis for what they did for them 60 years ago. Even today if Sindhi leadership starts treating Mohajir as brother there won't be any popular demand for the seperate province.
