لاہور کالج برائےخواتین یونیورسٹی کے کانووکیشن میں انوکھا واقعہ، خاتون پروفیسر ڈاکٹرفوزیہ نے تقریب کے دوران وزیراعظم عمران خان کے معاونِخصوصی برائے سیاسی روابط شہباز گل سےڈگری لینےسےانکار دیا۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق لاہور کالج برائےخواتین یونیورسٹی کے 16ویں کانووکیشن کی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔

معاون خصوصی کو شہبازگل تقریب کے دوسرے روز کے مہمان خصوصی تھے، آج ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر پولیٹیکل سائنس سمن آباد کالج ڈاکٹر فوزیہ کو پی ایچ ڈی کی ڈگری دی جانی تھی تاہم ڈاکٹر فوزیہ نے ڈگری لینے سے انکار کر دیا اور اس کے متعلق ٹویٹ کر دیا۔

انہوں نے ٹویٹ میں لکھا کہ شہباز گل کانووکیشن کے مہمان خصوصی بننے کے لائق نہیں، شہبازگل سےسے ڈگری وصول نہیں کروں گی۔

دوسری جانب اس حوالے سے شہباز گل کا کہنا تھا کہ ملک میں جمہوریت ہے اور ہر ایک کواپنی رائے کا اظہار کرنے کا حق حاصل ہے، ڈگری لینے سے انکار کرنے والی خاتون خواجہ سعد رفیق کی رشتے دار ہے۔

انہوں نے اپنی ٹوئٹر پوسٹ میں کہا کہ جو خاتون آج ڈگری لینے گھر سے نہیں آئیں وہ خواجہ سعد رفیق صاحب کی عزیزہ ہیں۔ایک چینل نے پھر ن لیگ کا میڈیا سیل ہونے کا ثبوت دیا اور پہلے یہ خبر بنوائی پھر لگائی۔عوام کو پورا سچ بتائیں کہ اس خاتون کا آپکی پارٹی سے تعلق ہے۔ایسی گھٹیا سیاست کے لئے طالبعلموں کا استعمال افسوسناک ہے۔

According to your logic, no one with lower education than having a Ph.D. should lead the nation that has many Ph.ds in it. And why should some uneducated parliamentarians make laws that govern educated among the people? I mean, why should this ethics thing apply only to presenting degrees and not to other more important aspects too. By the way, what would have your reaction been if the degree was presented by the prime minister or president of Pakistan? What is your reaction to Bradford university appointing a graduate, Imran Khan as their chancellor?
Lastly, do you know that Shahbaz Gill is a Ph.D. long before this lady?

Ethically !! You are obviously not educated enough to understand what ethics means and definitely not enough to know what the role of a chancellor is. Chancellor of a University is a titular post which has nothing to do with the running of the institution.. It is usually given to a prominent person, for example Seb Coe was the chancellor of a University in England even though he just had an undergraduate qualification. Making governors chancellors of universities makes sense since governor is a ceremonial position which 'should' go to a person prominent in his/her field (doesn't happen all the time with ghaleez nawaz the pig making low life low character nokerr judges as Governors).

Shehbaz gill is a Ph.D. himself in case you haven't noticed Dr in front of his name. He has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign

I know he is a PhD but PhD is always awarded by a person holding senior position. Lady is an associate professor so person awarding the degree should be a professor. Despite the political affiliations this trend of inviting politicians to award degree is wrong.

As an educated person (which i presume you are) you should read my argument again...you only took a part of it while ignoring the half. As for your example of seb coe he achieved some thing and was awarded honor degrees and titels and who we have chancellors in Pakistan dangar, fraudster like rana shamem or likes of ch sarwar or imran ismail what are thier achievements.. We even have a university on the name of absconder and thief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif university?.
