The Eidul Fitr moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, along with Qatar and UAE on Thursday evening, Express News reported.
The religious festival will now be celebrated on July 17 in the Middle East.

According to initial reports, Muslims in UK, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE will celebrate Eidul Fitr on Friday, whereas, Iraq and Bangladesh will be doing so on Saturday.
In Pakistan, the central Ruet-e-Hilal committee is expected to convene on Friday evening to sight the moon.
There were, however, reports that Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai in Peshawar had convened a meeting of local leaders to sight the moon on Thursday evening.

تم خوشی سے کل عید مناؤ لیکن جو مسلمان ہفتے کو عید منا رہے ہیں انکی تعداد ستر فیصد ہے اسلئے تمہیں بھی کوی حق نہیں کہ ان پر تنقید کرو بس جہاں دل کرتا ہے وہیں عید کرو ویسے بھی حکومت کو یہ اختیار ہے کہ وہ چاند کی رویت کی تصدیق کرے

یہ وہ عینی شاہد ہیں جن کو جنت کا لالچ دیا جاتا ہے کہ سعودی عرب کے ساتھ عید منانا عین ثواب ہے

I am not Islamic expert but i have heard/read (Forgot the book name) that attested authority can announce Eid when in doubt ( based on some fundamental factors). Mufti Muneeb is authority here.. So follow him

By the way, i will celebrate it tomorrow IA :)

Mufti munib has to show his authority to public otherwise moon is there to see in all the countries of the world. Our lives are run by the idiots some are thieves and robbers ruling us and others are Islami extremists.

Eid will always be celebrated in Pakistan on the correct day. It has nothing to do with Mufti Muneeb. He is nobody. Ruet-e-Hilal committee depends on the scientific analysis. Mullahs just put a stamp on the scientific calculations.

I dont know about Poplazai but I got reports of moon sighting and Eid in Bannu and Swabi almost 1 and half hour ago. I made a thread about it some half hour ago but mods removed it, because of no source .

The worshipers of the house of saud have nothing to do with moon-sighting. They shall only go with their masters. Yes we trust Mufti Muneeb for it as there are more than many standing there as well as meteorological experts who know what they are doing. Interestingly, the faction loving popalzai & co. is the one who has killed more Muslims than anybody else in the history of the world and the ones standing with Mufti Muneeb have sacrificed their lives for Islam more than everybody else in the history so many issues become evident. No discussions, thank you!
