اب پٹواری حضرات چور لوہار کو اُردگان بنانے کے لئے لوگوں کو نکلنے کے لئے اُکسا رہے ہیں ۔ ۔ ۔ اگر چور لوہار اُردگان جیسا لیڈر ہوتا، تو آج پٹواریوں کو لوگوں کے پیر پکڑ کر نلکنے کے لئے منتیّں نہ کرنا پڑتیں​

Well, we have an example of Nawaz Sharif and Jama'at-e-Islami today.

Siraj-ul-Haq's GHQ brigade filed a petition against Nawaz in the wake of Panama Leaks.

After Nawaz's dismissal hypocritical leaders of JI are now 'demanding' accountability of other 449 persons whose names had appeared in Panama papers.

Isn't this a joke?

Why are they demanding and demanding whom? Why not just filing petitions like they did against Nawaz?

In other words, there's no accountability because the GHQ doesn't want it. There's only revenge against those who don't bow to the GHQ.

زرداری کو تو ایان علی، ڈاکٹر عاصم اور عزیر بلوچ کے ذریعے کنٹرول کر کے اپنے ساتھ ملایا ہوا ہے۔

بھائی صاحب میری نظر میں آپ کی بہت سی باتیں کہانیوں مفروضوں اور لاعلمی کا شاخسانہ ہیں۔
اب سکندر مرزا کو ہی لے لیجئے۔ کیا آپ کو معلوم ہے کہ ۱۹۲۶ کے بعد اس نے کبھی بھی کسی بھی وقت آرمی میں سرو نہیں کیا بلکہ ۱۹۲۶ ہی سے ایک بیوروکریٹ تھا۔ پولیٹیکل ایجنٹ، ڈپٹی کمشنر ، کمشنر ، گورنر اور سیکرٹری دفاع بھی رہا۔ دراصل ۱۹۲۶ میں برٹش انڈین آرمی میں سے بہت سے کیپٹن رینک کے آفیسرز کو سول سروس میں اِنڈکٹ کیا گیا تھا۔ وہ لوگ سول سروس میں تو چلے گئے لیکن آرمی میں ان کا رینک آنریری طور پر بڑھتا رہا۔ اس طرح جب پاکستان بنا تو سکندر مرزا بھی پاکستانی بیوروکریسی کا اہم ستون بنا۔ لیاقت علی خان نے پاکستان بننے سے پہلے چلی آنے والی روایت کو مدِنظر رکھتے ہوئے اسے ’آنریری‘ میجر جنرل کا رینک دیا۔ ہاں یہ بھی بتاتا چلوں کہ مرزا صاحب ۵۵ کے الیکشن میں اسمبلی ممبر بن کر ہی سیاسی عہدوں پر فائز ہوئے تھے۔

جناب محترم! اسکندر مرزا کا تعلق افواج سے رہا، بیوروکریسی میں آئے اور جب پاکستان کے گورنر جنرل بنے تب بھی فیلڈ مارشل ایوب خان کے ساتھ چولی دامن کا ساتھ رہا۔
لیاقت علی خان کے قتل کے بعد اسکندر مرزا اور ایوب خان ان گنتی کی شخصیات میں شامل تھے جنہوں نے ریاست ہائے متحدہ امریکہ کی یاترا کی اور بالآخر امریکہ کو وہ سب کچھ دلوایا جس سے لیاقت علی انکار کر چکے تھے۔
میوچوئل ڈیفنس اگریمنٹ ہوا، مرزا کی گورنر جنرلی کے ایام میں ہی پشاور کا بڈھ بیر ہوائی اڈہ امریکہ کے سپرد کیا گیا۔
ایوب خان نے پھر امریکہ کو اجازت بھی مرحمت فرمائی کہ آپ اپنا جاسوس طیارہ پشاور سے اڑائیں اور سوویت کافروں کے ملک میں تانکا جھانکی کریں۔
ایسا معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ غلام محمد، اسکندر مرزا اور ایوب خان کو مسلط اسی لیے کیا گیا تھا، برطانیہ اور امریکہ کے ذریعے، تاکہ مملکت پاکستان کو امریکہ کی کالونی بنایا جائے۔
یعنی ہماری افواج کا پہلا پاکستانی مسلم کمانڈر انچیف امریکی ایجنٹ کے طور پر نازل ہوا۔

لیاقت علی خان پر ایوب نے انکوئری کروائی تھی۔ بلکہ یہاں تک کہ سکاٹ لینڈ یارڈ کو علیحدہ سے انکوائری کے کئے انگیج کیا۔ لیکن جب سکاٹ لینڈ یارڈ نے بھی اپنی فائینڈنگز میں مبہم الفاظ میں امریکہ کی طرف اشارہ کیا تو ایوب خان کے پاس اسے آگے بڑھانے کا کوئی جواز نہیں تھا۔ بعد کے اکاؤنٹز میں تو ہائی رینکنگ لوگوں کی طرف سے یہ دعوی بھی کیا گیا کہ لیاقت علی کو لگنے والی گولی اوپر سے نیچے کو لگی تھی۔ یعنی کہ چھت سے فائر کی گئی تھی جبکہ سید اکبر تو کراؤڈ میں موجود تھا اور اگر اس کی گولی لگی ہوتی تو سیدھی لگتی نا کہ اوپر سے نیچے۔ قیاس کیا جاتا ہے کہ سی آئی اے نے پولیس کو اس کام کے لئے استعمال کیا۔ لیاقت کو بھی پولیس نے مارا اور سید اکبر کو بھی۔ لیاقت علی خان کے پوتے نے بحرحال کنفرم کیا ہے کہ یہ امریکہ کا کام تھا اور رلیز کئے گئے ڈاکومنٹس میں اس کی کنفرمیشن موجود ہے۔ لیاقت علی خان نے امریکہ کو پاکستانی ائیر بیس خالی کرنے کا حکم دیا اور ایران میں امریکیوں کو تیل کے کنووں کے ایوارڈ میں اپنے دوست رضا پہلوی کو اس سے روکنے کی کوشش کی اور نان الائینڈ ممالک کی تنظیم کا ممبر بننا چاہا تو انکل سام نے چلتا کیا۔ آپ کا یہ جواز کہ پنڈی کیونکہ جی ایچ کیو کا شہر ہے تو سارے شہر کے ایونٹس کی ذمہ داری فوج ہی کے کھاتے میں جانی چاہیے کچھ مزاحکہ خیز سا لگتا ہے۔ اس روز لیاقت علی کی سیکورٹی پولیس کے پاس تھی فوج کے پاس نہیں۔

باقی پھر کبھی۔ کچھ بِزی ہوں

لیاقت علی خان کا قتل واحد قتل تو ہے نہیں جس کے لیے جی ایچ کیو سرکار کی طرف انگلی اٹھ رہی ہے۔
آپ فرما رہے ہیں کہ لیاقت کے قتل پر ایوب نے انکوائری کروائی۔
پوچھ سکتا ہوں کس حیثیت میں کروائی؟
کیا 1951 میں وہ پاکستان کے بادشاہ بن چکے تھے یا اس وقت گورنر جنرل غلام محمد کے پاس انکوائری کروانے کا اختیار تھا؟
اگر انکوائری ہوئی اور اسکاٹ لینڈ یارڈ نے کی، تو وہ انکوائری عمران فاروق کے قتل کی انکوائری سے مختلف نہیں ہو سکتی۔
انکشافات کے مطابق، جو طیارہ چیف تفتیشی افسر کو لے کر جا رہا تھا وہ بھی تباہ کروا دیا گیا۔ مطلب جس طرح سید اکبر کو ہلاک کر کے ثبوت مٹایا گیا، ویسے ہی مزید مٹی ڈال دی گئی لیاقت علی خان کی قبر پر۔
قائد اعظم کے پاکستان کے خلاف ان تمام سازشوں کا فائدہ بالآخر ایوب خان اور امریکہ کو ہوا، اس لیے یہ کہنا غلط نہیں کہ ایوب خان نے جی ایچ کیو کو کسی نہ کسی صورت ریاست پاکستان کے خلاف اور ریاست ہائے متحدہ امریکہ کے مفادات کے لیے استعمال کیا۔
رہی بات لیاقت علی خان کے پوتے کی، وہ بے چارہ نہ تین میں ہے نہ تیرہ میں۔
پشاور کا ہوائی اڈہ لیاقت علی خان کی زندگی میں دیا ہی نہیں گیا تھا، تو لیاقت علی خان اس کو خالی کرنے کا کیوں بولنے لگے۔
بہ قول آپ کے لیاقت علی خان کی سیکیوریٹی پولیس کے پاس تھی، فوج کے پاس نہیں۔ تو اس بات سے میں اتفاق کرتا ہوں۔ تاہم جب پولیس پاکستان کی تاریخ کے سب سے بڑے سیاسی قتل میں ملوث تھی، تو جی ایچ کیو سرکار نے مداخلت کر کے پولیس کو آڑے ہاتھوں کیوں نہیں لیا۔ جس طرح یہ لوگ پوری باوردی بارات گولہ بارود اور بینڈ باجے سمیت لا کر حکومتوں کے تختے الٹ دیتے ہیں تا کہ پاکستان کو 'بچایا' جا سکے، لیاقت علی کے قتل پر پاکستان 'بچانے' کا مقدس مشن کیوں سمجھ نہیں آیا؟ پولیس کی سازش کو کان سے کیوں نہیں پکڑا؟ کہیں خاکی وردی بھی کالی وردی کے ساتھ ملی ہوئی تو نہیں تھی؟

اس تھریڈ میں اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرنے کے بعد، میں اتنا کہنا چاہوں گا کہ مجھے نواز شریف اور آصف زرداری جیسے لوگوں سے کسی خیر کی امید نہیں ہے۔
جن لوگوں کے خمیر میں غلط راستے پر چلنا ہو، جن کی سیاست کا دروازہ کھلتا ہی ناجائز ذرائع سے ہو، ان لوگوں سے مملکت پاکستان کی فلاح کی کیا امید رکھنا۔

بس اللہ سے دعا ہے کہ وہ اس سرزمین کے لوگوں پر کرم خاص فرمائے اور ان کو پاکستان کے دشمنوں اور منافقوں سے نجات دلا کر کوئی ایسا انسان بھیج دے جو پاکستان کو کامیابی اور ترقی کی راہ پر ڈال سکے، آمین۔​​

I’ll restrict my response to the murder claims. However if you wish to engage about the events/statements/personalities/political alignments regarding the election in 1965, we may discuss about that episode however that would amount to a political commentary than to denial/affirmation of any event. Many other snippets you counted in your piece can be discussed and analyzed in view of the politics/conflicts of the times and that would amount to a real political discussion.
It was better if you had referred the earlier piece in Dawn sometime in early 2001-3(?) and what was discussed then and commented – or some other ariticle with this claim than to give a video piece of Dr. Shahid.

The dawn Piece read as ---
“On August 2, 1971, a local Urdu newspaper published a news report which claimed that Miss Fatima Jinnah had been murdered. The report included interviews of the people who had given her the ghusl – ritualistic bath given to the dead before burial, as per Islamic tradition. In case of state personalities, people are hired to do the job.
The news item quotes one of these hired men – Hidayat Ali aka Kallu Ghusl – as saying that the corpse of Miss Fatima Jinnah had visible wounds on it, and there was an opening in her stomach which oozed blood and other fluids. Her bloodstained clothes were also with him as evidence. However, he said, no one from the administration paid any attention to his requests of inquiry, nor was the matter ever made public. Other companions of Kallu Ghussaal, too, confirmed the reports.”
When the above piece was first published, Dawn did not own the statement and reported that the families of those who were close family members, commissioner or present at the funeral had no family tradition or recollection of any such occurrence.
There has been no testimony of any kind in the last 50 years by anyone who was near to her or had any official capacity regarding her funeral.
Later Mr. Liaquat Merchant, grandnephew of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, reacted and Dawn published the piece regretting the news item and asked that the controversies regarding her death should be buried and apologized in an article “Controversies over Miss Jinnah regretted”. Merchant stated:
“The fact is that when Ms Fatima Jinnah did not wake up one morning in July 1967, the family was alerted and its four members and Lady Hidayatullah went to Mohatta Palace in Karachi where with the help of authorities entry was secured and Miss Fatima Jinnah was found lying on her bed covered by a sheet”, Mr Liaquat Merchant said.
“There was no evidence of any physical violence or bleeding or blood stains of any kind, but there was some suspicion of foul play which remained a suspicion. Enquiries conducted by the then commissioner of Karachi and later by the West Pakistan home minister did not reveal anything new and it was presumed that she died a natural death, though suspicion of foul play continued in the minds of her admirers and emerged once again this year when the year of Ms. Fatima Jinnah is being celebrated by the government.”
“Mr Merchant said several persons had claimed that by virtue of their very close association, they visited and saw Ms Fatima Jinnah on the day of her death, but the fact is that apart from the four close family members and Lady Hidayatullah there was no other person present when Ms Fatima Jinnah was found dead in her bedroom in Mohatta Palace in July 1967. Other friends and admirers arrived later.”
The claim that a “Male Gussal” had seen the open bleeding wounds was impossible and worth to be rejected off hand. The claim of a murder by some state agent with open and oozing wound and full blood was ludicrous, if one were to apply a little of reflection to the claim. Lady Hidayatullah had described the event of death of Miss Jinnah and she did not mention or alluded to any such event.

Further, a few days later, a false juicy report appeared in the Urdu media that Mr. Sharifuddin Pirzada had seen the body and confirmed the murder, to which he replied:
“Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada, who was quoted by a section of the press as saying on Monday that he himself had seen blood stains on the bed sheet and cuts on the neck of Miss Jinnah, said that he was grossly misquoted by the press.
“What has been attributed to me is not correct as I was not there,” Mr Pirzada said.
He said he was out of the country, and had come to know of Miss Jinnah’s death at the Paris Airport, got his flight changed and had returned to Pakistan. “From the airport, I had gone directly to the Quaid’s mazar and attended the burial of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah.”
However Mr. Pirzada narrated an event as, “ Mr Pirzada said that Mr Akbar Pirbhai, a leading Indian lawyer, had come to Pakistan and after a couple of days of inquiries on his own had asked him (Sharifuddin) to arrange a meeting with President Ayub Khan. This was done, and Mr Pirbhai had told the president that according to his assessment, Miss Jinnah was murdered. Mr Pirzada was present in the meeting.” Mr Pirbhai was not a relative of Miss Jinnah. Any member of her family or friends in India or Pakistan did not make any such claim in the passing years.

The events of the procession of Miss Jinnah’s funeral are well known and narrated in the newspapers of the day. There was a crowd exceeding 6 lakh on Zaibunnisa Street and tried to come to the body and, in result police reacted and pushed back the and there was a subsequent protest for a while. In any case the people coming nearer to the brier were not to open the ‘kaffan’ and the see the naked body and any suggestion that the authorities had tried to hide something was just ludicrous. The funeral events are well known and attended by all sorts of people and the Commissioner Karachi was the main organizer.
“President’s representative Mr Shams-ul-Zuha, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Navy, Admiral M. Hassan, military secretaries of both the provinces (East and West Pakistan), Commissioner Karachi, DIG Karachi, members of the national and provincial assemblies, and leaders from all political parties were in the procession.”
It would be much better to pay heed to the advice of Mr. Merchant than to allude to a non-event for the sake of political purposes, and to develop a political theory based of such a flimsy claim. Mr. Merchant requested:
“A befitting tribute to honour and keep alive Miss Jinnah’s memory, Mr Merchant said, would be to keep alive her mission of providing quality education to girls in Karachi. Unfortunately, the Khatoon-i-Pakistan school, founded and built by Ms Jinnah was nationalized in 1972, and continued to remain under the government control in spite of efforts made to have the institution denationalized and handed back to the Khatoon-i-Pakistan Education & Welfare Board, which she founded in 1961, Mr. Merchant said.”

As far as my sleeping is concerned, I care zilch if you were to hang Ayub or anyone else. I might not even bother to join you in the lynching if I were busy, but do wake me up once.

However, if we are to discuss the development of a political ideology, we need to be on firm grounds; if we were to understand and analyze the politics of the time including economics, political ideologies, controversies, political and personal mistakes and organizations of those times so on and so forth, I may join in. I do question about 7-8 claims made by you in this discussion on the basis of historical inaccuracies or misinterpretations, however that does not amount to any support for the military rule. I was against Musharraf from the day he took office unlike many of the your co-ideologues such as Benazir who offered to help or the liberals, and the left who joined him for the initial two years, or Ms. Fatima Jinnah who welcomed Ayub in 1958 and deemed him as a new hope for Pakistan.

However, I may assert, as per my thoughts military-civilian conflict is not the primary contradiction in our politics rather at times, a part of a general political fissures. I do not, in any case, pivot my political ideology on this conflict. You may read the Political analysis by Dr. Mubashar Hasan during 90’s in this respect, which I partially agree with, or many other writers. I support PTI in the current political divide, however I belong to the left side of the debate, and if you are from the conservative side we have inherited differences of outlook to analyze any political controversy.
