Turkey will not withdraw.It’s relationship with Russia is problematic.They cooperate in many fields but they are on opposite sides on many issue.Turkey wants to depose Syrian President but Russia is Syria’s ally.Turkey supports Azerbaijan in Nagorno Karabakh whereas Russia is an ally of fellow Christian Armenia.In Libya Turkey and Russia support opposing sides.Turkey has close defence ties with Ukraine and doesn’t recognise Russian annexation of Crimea.Turkey can remain in NATO as an inactive member ie don’t take part in combat operations.There are pro and cons of remaining in NATO.Turkey did send troops to Afghanistan but they were non combatant.
