Another embarrassment for BRT project

BRT buses were ordered without realising that the platform will be in center.

Front door is on the wrong side of the bus as it is on the opposite side of the platform. Platform will be in the center of the road (and right side of the bus) whereas the big front door is on the left side of the bus. This door would be unusable. This means that the ladies would have to go through the back doors on to gain access to the ladies area in the front

However, BRT team has come up with a genius idea to fix this issue. Run the buses on the opposite side of the traffic so that front side big door can dock with the platform.

Look at this video... Bus is running on the opposite side of the traffic.

Its partially true... While it has door on both sides... the front door is on the wrong side - so its unusable - and therefore ladies will have to go through the back doors to gain access to the ladies area in the front

Yes you seem to be right - I have looked two more images and it seems to have doors on both sides.

Haan Jani bhai you are right. ... But sari dunya mai passengers ko sidewalk/footpath wali side per utartay hain...

Metro aur BRT mai passengers ko center mai utarna hota hai .. coz platform center mai hota hai,,, so thats why left side wala front door use nahi ho sakta

Itaaa bara Driver door... Have you seen the door in the picture? The driver seat is on the opposite side of this door btw.

اس میں ڈرائیور کا مخصوص دروازہ نہیں ہوتامیرے بھائی۔۔
وہ ویسے ہی چھیڑ چھاڑ کررہا ہے۔۔

دنیا بھر میں اگلے دروازے سے سارے لوگ بس پر سوار ہوتے ہیں۔۔اور پچھلے سے اترتے ہیں۔۔

مگر یہاں چونکہ کرایہ پہلے ہی دیا جاچکا ہوتا ہے۔۔تو ڈرائیور کے سامنے والے دروازے سے بس پر چڑھنا ضروری نہ ہوگا۔۔یہ میرا خیال ہے۔۔​
