Well i firmly believe we need to isolate democracy and state affairs from religion. West or china where no one can dare to do corruption both of them have no religious interference or influence of religion in their state affairs.In fact indulging religious influence in state affair makes lots of complications which we can clearly obeserve in Pakistani democracy.
Religion is everyone personal matter especially in Islam there are so many sects and differences between different school of thoughts to an extent where they call each other KAFIR. So it is absolutely not wise to indulge religion in democracy in the country like Pakistan where there is so much religious extremism. Not sure why is every Pakistani indulge religion in every matter and make things complicated for themselves. Everyone does that from cricketer to actor from actor to singer,from singer to dancer,from dancer to politician and from politician to anchor but in reality all of them have no clue about Islam BUS BONGYAAN MARTHEY REHTHEY HAIN.
When it comes this lady from ANP she is just dumb and fool woman who is out there in politics to make money and support her corrupt leader Asfand. ANP in kpk is history now. They can only make themselves happy by thinking about their past and corrupt days of their govt in kpk . They have absolutely no future in KPK.

Your are simpleton.The fundamentals have not changed.He is talking about social justice,rule of law and citizens rights.He not talking about technology.
Of course the world has changed.If you want to see an example of a welfare state go and visit any of the Nordic countries.

You are right. When IK talks about Madina, he means all rules and regulation being used at that time for the welfare and well-being of muslims, not only in Medina but all over the muslim world.

No wonder Pakistan is in a mess.It is because of idiots like her who become so called leaders.In olden days people used horses,donkeys and camels as means of transport.Now we have aeroplanes ,cars and trains.These means of transport are used to travel from A to B so we use what is most convenient or efficient means of transport.
UK is also a welfare state but countries like Norway are far ahead of UK.UN and world bodies always rank Nordic countries high in health care,social welfare,democracy,freedom of speech etc.This is the reason I mentioned Nordic countries.

Islam is a way of life with guidance for every matter, problem, issue, complexity with an overarching concept of doing good and reaching what I call the most selfish selflessness. This for another day perhaps.
From your writing it seems that many years of Islamic rule have failed thus time to separate the state and religion. Well, the only time Islamic state was in rule was good time for the Muslims & world. Calling something Islamic and it's truly being one are two different situations.
One can not separate religion from state and in case of Islam there is no need to do that due to the flexibility and inclusiveness offered in Islam.
I agree with you there are matters which require that they be dealt on the basis of information, technology, science but clearly if one understands Islam then they would know that Islam is a system for social life and justice NOT for scientific studies. It is the Art of being Human not the science of it.
On the contrary I believe that Religious education for the purpose of being an expert e.g Molvi/Maulana must be after completion of 12-16 years of school/college just as we do for professional training. We need smart people there not those who can not even complete regular schools!
