In the entire video, I did not hear them saying that it was "ISLAMI" treeka of cutting cucumber. To me, mainly, he is asking people not to waste anything if possible. Do not you think it is a good advice?????
As for the green color, they seem to respect this color for whatever reason. They are as much entitled to respect it or even consider it sacred as much you are entitled to think otherwise.
Yes, it would be a big problem, as you put it, if he had been preaching that disrespecting this color would be a SIN. Does he preach that???????
If Islam is a DEEN (I do not know what you think), then it has every place in our everyday life. He is not forcing, he is preaching and there is a difference.
What makes you think that his follower will attack others?
You do not believe in that. Will you attack others who think that green color is sacred?[SUB][/SUB]
The problem you mentioned about Eid Milaad, is due to the VERY reason we have seen here...............THE INTOLERANCE amongst the whole society.
We tend to take extreme positions very quickly and start criticising others with full force ignoring altogether the positive that may come out of what others have to say or do.
You have every right to disagree, but in my humble opinion he is doing more good than harm.
Thank you for your reply.
He clearly said inn kay haath nahi kaanptay haray rang kaa chilka phainktay hoey. He also mentioned a few times haray rang ka imama. He is clearly telling his followers green color is sacred. He is not an ordinary person, he is bappa. His followers take his words as gospel and imitate his actions. His followers, if not today, then in 100 years time will think green is sacred color and must be respected and those who dont respect it, therefore, should be punished. Why you find this point so hard to believe? we have seen numerous such examples.
The video title is islami tareeqa and this is not the first video. There are videos where he shows banana cheelnay kaa islami aur sunnat bhara tareeka.
and NO, islam does not teach us how to peel vegetable and fruit skins. What islam allows and prohibits is clearly stated in quran and sunnat and there is no room to add or remove anything from it and sunnat does not necessarily mean hadees but something that has reached with ijma and tawaturr. This is not just an ideological argument but it has some serious practical implications. When you call something part of religion then people think it is subject to amar bilmaroof and nahi anil munkir and foolish people take it upon themselves to stop what they think is munkir themselves. This thinking is the mother of all the chaos we see today.
If he had said, please dont waste cucumber skin and prophet taught us to not waste food and that many people around the world die of hunger etc then no problem at all.
but when he says, its green, its islami tareeka etc then there is a serious problem.
I am not taking extreme position, this is unfortunately the realities of our society and we have been burnt by that. So we should be super conscious.
Yes I mentioned milad. I have relatives who make new clothes on milad and hug 3 times to celebrate it and greet each other with eid mubarak and say only shaitan is upset on prophet's birth (quoting ahmed raza khan barelvi's words here). All this did not use to happen just may be 3-4 decades ago. Whats next? if things continue the same way, they will force people to light up their houses or attack mosques that dont decorate masjid on milad and so on. Religion is a very powerful thing, we should not take it lightly.
