Pakistan has been bankrupt and dependent on external aid right from the beginning so no question of Zardari bankrupting it further.Few steps are needed to put the economy in a better shape.The security state apparatus has to be dismantled and pakistan turned into a welfare state.Too much money is spent on defence leaving little for education,health and other development projects and this has impeded the economy.The rich and moneyed classes must be made to pay their taxes properly as now most of them are evading to pay their due tax .Steps are needed to control corruption by the political class and the bureaucracy.Here the legislature ,the media and the judiciary could help by playing their due role.Pakistan has rich resources and its people are hard working and the country has a bright future provided the right policies are adopted.
