It is logical he opposes Zaid Hamid. He didn't oppose him because he thinks Zaid is doing something against Islam. He is opposing Zaid because he thinks that person has already came to this world in the shape of Mirza.

We on the other hand oppose Zaid because he is going down the same track earlier followed by Mirza and Youssuf.
