But dont you think that people like Stephen become larger than life and most of its spiritual interpretations dont apply to them?

Stephan Hawkins is an atheist therefore does not believe in taqdir and looks both ways before crossing the road. Its the theists who believe in taqir but don't act accordingly. This is only one of many examples.
