XOOM is stoping remitances to Pakistan.

Should we stop using Xoom because it is an Indian service by PayPal?

I send money to my parents every month using PayPal's money transfer service Xoom. Today when I sent money my transaction was canceled. I talked to the customer service and I was told that some information I provided does not match their record and they cannot tell what information does not match.

I am sending money to the same person same account for the last two years and never had any problem. I talked to a friend of mine and he has the same problem. The customer service rep sounds like an Indian. My guess is that this Indian subsidiary is blocking remittances to Pakistan.

There are I'm sure other services that can send money to Pakistan but Indian in their hate will cause big loss to this PayPal service. PayPal need to take action about this.

This is not their mistakes but this is you guys problem .
Who said you to use xoom or such type of channels ???
Why don’t you guys make your own channels same as PAYPAL and make your own systems to develop that you will not dependent on such so called PayPal or other transaction channels ????

These are all online hundis. They do not benefit Pakistan.
Only the good ole bank transfer helps the foreign reserves.

I heard TransferWise is also good. Haven't used it recently however. Anyone who used TransferWise please chime in.
Yes transferwise is a good option I use Payoneer and Transferwise. Transferwise only allows you to send Personal Payments it doesnt work for business payments at the moment. I have only tried it once so far

XOOM was Indian company and bought out by PayPal/EBay. I knew their origin so I never used either one. So If you currently using XOOM. Dump them hard with protest.
Use MONEYGRAM instead.
Their rates are low and recipient gets the money in 10 minutes.
Their signup takes time by confining your identity. However after you successfully registered, it takes a few minutes to send your money. Using credit card/debit card is cheaper and fast.

In UK there is no problem sending to Pakistan. You can do it through banks. There are many money transfer/exchange agencies which are run by Muslims which use legal channels to transfer money.I have never had any problem. The money is transferred within a couple of days and can be cashed from any branch of a certain bank

here is what I have to say.
I'm using Xoom for sending money to my father for the last two years. I send money to only one account every month and never had any problem. When on Oct 31, 2019 a few days age I tried to send money my transaction was canceled. I talk to the representative and was told that some information does not match our records and we cannot tell you what. you can use any other means of transferring money. Further researching and talking to friends I came to know they have the same problem and common factor was that we are sending money to Pakistan and Xoom is an Indian company. This hate for Pakistan should be out of your business and will be a big customer loss to the PayPal. There are other services available who can gladly will take PayPal's business. I personally will stop using PayPal as well and will also prefer to shop Amazon instead of eBay.
I hoe you will forward this to your superiors.
