What devastating news subhanallah: the eminent scholar and one of the world's top Muhaddithin, al-'Allamah al-Shaykh Shu'ayb al-Arna'ut, passed away today at the age of 88, 'alayhi rahmatullah rahmatan wasi'ah.
May Allah jalla wa 'ala have mercy upon him, forgive his mistakes, illuminate his grave, free him from the hisab and any 'adhab, and bless him with al-Firdaws al-A'la alongside his beloved al-Mustafa Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam whom the Shaykh spent his *entire* life defending and purifying his name through the Shaykh's service to the sciences of Hadith. Ameen ameen ameen.
We are on the night of Jumu'ah, and tomorrow in its day the du'a is not rejected during its final hour. Please take a moment to remember this wonderful scholar in it because although you might not be able to appreciate at the moment what he has done for *you* in your Deen, there will come a day when you certainly will.
What a sad, sad day it is and what a loss. Allahu akbar.
