I dunno why hell we are so obsessed with goddam poets and their freaking poetry.

Pakistan mein 20 30 Iqbal ke shair aur 10 -15 deegair shairyon ke shair rutt lo. Urdu ka talahfuz theek kerlo, bus ji aab bohat barday danishwar ho.

Look at the most developed or developing countries in world. No one gives a shit about poets and poetry. Ask the general public there to name a famous poet from the last 100 years and they will struggle let alone remember any poems.

Poetry was merely a form of entertainment back in the day before the age of modern media. But in the subcontinent, specially Pakistan I don't know how it has become a symbol of being seen as cultured. And if you don't know all the so called famous poets and their poetry then you are a jahil gawar.

Har baat pe shair yaad aya hai. FFS man!
