I am an Indian Hindu living in US. I have met various Pakistanis over the years and all of them were very respectful and decent. There has been only 1 incident where some pakistani insulted me and abused me for being Hindu. And that was in a computer chatroom. It was never in real life. This computer chat room person uses the screenname of sysy1384 on 12allchat dot com. This person did not appear very educated and was having difficulty typing English. There was big struggle to chat in English and then this person started chatting in urdu using english keyboard. I would say the person's illiteracy or possible ignorance led him to have such attitude. However computer chat room is not real life incident. In over 99% of cases, most of the Pakistanis have been very nice and respectful to me. My doctor is also a pakistani and he has been treating me for the past 2 years for various ailments I have.

Aug 9, 1947. Muslim member of Partition Committee, Chaudhri Muhammad Ali comes to Karachi on a one-day visit for Jinnah's approval on Patel's proposal for debt settlement. Liaquat Ali Khan asks Ali to convey to Lord Ismay in Delhi that Jinnah has received disturbing reports about the likely decision on the Punjab boundary.

Aug 15, 1947. Amritsar. In the afternoon, a Sikh mob paraded a number of Muslim women naked through the streets of Amritsar, raped them and then hacked some of them to pieces with kirpans and burned the others alive.

August12,1947
Radcliffe signs his reports for the Punab and Bengal, forming the Award. Ferozepur, Zira, Gurdaspur and many other areas of Muslim majority in East Punjab form parts of India, as does the city of Calcutta. Report is withheld until after the Independence.

Aug 24, 1947. Jinnah calls upon the people of Pakistan not to retaliate unlwafully to the violence in East Punjab: "Pakistan should be kept absolutely free from disorder."

Radcliffe Award: mayhem begins
Sunday August17,1947
. Muslims suspect foul play as Radcliff Award gives away strategically important Muslim regions to India without any apparent justification. Unprecedented massacres start in Eastern Punjab, and more are likely to follow in other areas. Only in some Muslim circles, this had been suspected for the last few days. On Sunday, when a Muslim member of the Partition Committee, Chaudhri Muhammad Ali, sought an interview with Lord Ismay to convey a message from Jinnah, he was told that Ismay was closeted with Sir Cyril Radcliffe, Chairman Boundary Commission. When Chaudhri saw him at last, Ismay professed complete ignorance of any knowledge of the proposed Punjab boundary, while at the same time Chaudhri discovered a pencil line on the map in Ismay's room very smiliar to the boundary that had been reported to Jinnah. "Ismay turned pale," says Chaudhri Muhammad Ali, "and asked in confusion who had been fooling with his map."

Sep 4, 1947. Massive anti-Muslim riots erupt in Delhi, initiated by the extremist Sikhs and RSSS.


Junagadh: Identity Crisis?
Friday Sep 5,1947. Governor-General Quaid-i-Azam has accepted the accession of Junagadh and Manavadar, small maritime states 300 miles south of Karachi. The total population of Junagadh is 700,000, most of whom is Hindu, and the state is surrounded on all sides by Indian Territory. However, the ruler is Muslim and hence the accession to Pakistan.
The Indian government has been informed, and the reaction is not favorable. "Such acceptance… cannot but be regarded by Government of India an encroachment on India's sovereignty and territory and inconsistent with friendly relations that should exit between the two Dominions," British-Indian Governor-General Mountbatten has written in his telegram to Jinnah.

Sep 17, 1947. Jinnah calls upon Muslims of tribal areas and elsewhere not to retaliate. "Apart from such action being contrary to Islamic teachings, it is also not in our interest to do so, and such action will serve no useful purpose as a relief to those Musalmans who happen to be minorities in Hindustan or elsewhere in the sub-continent."

Friday Sep 26,1947. Clouds of war loom over Pakistan and India. Even Gandhi was heard today at his prayer gathering in India that he had been an opponent of all warfare but if there was no other way of securing justice from Pakistan, the Indian Union government would have to go to war against it.

So we HATE the HATERS.

Most Indians don't understand why Pakistanis hate us so much. So my questions to users of this forum are as follows:
1. Why you hate us so much?

2. When you express your hate towards India why many of you say HINDUS and not Indians, as I have found most Indians (some exceptions in Kashmir apply) irrespective of ethnic or religious background have similar view of Pakistan.

3. Is Kashmir the only issue? will your animosity finish if Kashmir problem is solved amicably? Will we start living like good neighbors after that or you guys will start day dreaming about gazwa e hind?
4.While debating many of you like to bring religion even when the subject is something else. When you attack Indian instead of attacking what he has written you attack his religion? why?

5. Many of you don't seem to respect our religion then why do you expect us to respect yours?

6. Many of you write that you are not like Indians but superior than them, some one recently commented that Pakistanis are superior race? So what race are Pakistanis? Why do you think you are superior?

7. Why many of you deny your Hindu or ancient Indian heritage, don't we share the same history? Then why do you think you are closer to Arabs than to subcontinent?

8. Shouldn't Hindu be more angry towards Muslims? when was the last time Hindus conquered any Muslim territory. We were ruled my Muslims for 700-800 years and by British for remaining years. Even after that instead of revenge mentality India is trying to become secular society.

You are committing the mistake of Generalization. What happens is that views of few are projected as the view of all. Huge majority of Pakistanis do not hate india or hindus.We dislike the ones who spread hate against us,who kill Muslims and want to attack Pakistan.
Let me elaborate with a few examples,
1- Babri Masjid was demolished by hindus, why? because they hate Muslims.
2-Kashmiris are killed every day and there is not enough sane argument in india against that.
3-2000 muslims were killed in gujarat by hindus,why? because they were Muslims.
4-60 Pakistanis were burnt alive in samjhota express train by a serving officer of indian army, why? because they hate Muslims and Pakistan.


As for the issue of Kashmir,yes we want it solved, not according to our terms BUT according to the terms of your most revered leader Nehru who promised in UN for a plebiscite in Kashmir. Remember or it has been deleted from your history?

Why should hindus hate Muslims? according to your post because Muslims ruled over india.So you are carrying a chip over your shoulder and it proves us right once again that hindus hate Muslims of Pakistan because they are trying to settle a score from history?
By the same token then hindus should hate the british because the british also ruled india, you should hate the portugese,dutch,and germans also.

There is no denying in the heritage some of us have linked to the hinduism many many generations ago, but that does not mean that you should use that as leverage point because that was in the past,don't you want to move on,still settling scores? what does it prove any way?

Every nation thinks they are superior.right or not is always debatable, but then why do the hindus think they are superior? Have you already forgotten the statements made by your Army chief about taking on China and Pakistan simultaneously?? who was behind his back?

What about the fact that hindus view all Muslims as terrorist just because there are few thousand out of a population of more than a billion who are problematic? Stop generalizing and you will start to understand.
Bal Thakaray has a following of few thousand out of a population of over a billion indians so does that make all indians problematic or the same as thakaray?

You need to read about who was the first ruler in india to make india one of the advanced countries of it's time by making roads,inns,postal system,administrative divisions and administration system? It was Sher Shah Suri and who was he ? a Muslim.So you have a lot to be thankful for because the last hindu ruler worth the name was Ashoka which was in BC!

Here is the answer to this question that i had given to turkish members of a turkish forum when they were asking about reason for india pakistan hatred . i am copy/pasting it here---

the reason for the hate goes back to the era before partition .

you see , the muslim elites of undivided india used to consider themselves as a ' master race ' who had ruled over the hindus for 6-7 centuries . remember , the mass of the common muslims didnt have this ' master race ' mentality--for they were always poorer than the common hindus , and had been converted from the lower castes of hindus anyway . but the elites had this mentality , especially those who traced their roots to foreign lands like central asia , iran and afghanistan.

now with the coming of the british rule , they ,for the first time , realised that they were a minority among the hindus......
all the mass rapes , massacres , destruction of hindu temples , forcible conversions had failed to convert the majority of hindus to islam !!

now they , long used to ruling the roost , found that they had to economically compete with the hindus for jobs--and soon found themselves outclassed in that department by the hindus !! this led them to an acute insecurity about their position in india .

when it became clear that the british were going to leave india , they ( the master race ) realised that the hated infidels ( hindus )were now going to rule the country......
the kaafir was going to rule the muslims !!
this led them on an acute trip of paranoia......

jinnah , a politician who had hoped to lead the whole of india , but found his position upsurped by mahatma gandhi , now found the chance to revive his flagging career by raising the bogey of--islam khatray mey ( islam in danger )--so that he would get the grand historical role he envisioned for himself by becoming founder of pakistan . the tool he used was the muslim league party , which was composed largely of the muslim elite. the muslim league then convinced the mass of illiterate common muslims that the hindus were making a grand conspiracy of subjugating the muslims , and a seperate nation must be founded to protect their interests .

thus pakistan was born after the muslims began to riot all over india , the indian national congress realised that it was hopeless to try to keep the state united .

now things should have stopped at that-- but the muslim league wanted the new state ( pakistan ) to live upto its name and become PAK , that means pure . and pure it was to be made by massacring those hindus and sikhs who lived in pakistan . once those massacres started , the hindus and sikhs in india retaliated , and rivers of blood flowed on both sides . ultimately , west pakistan was ethnically cleansed of all hindus and sikhs ( except a few ) , and a similar ethnic cleansing occured in indian states of punjab , haryana , himachal , and upto some extent in bihar . all this bred HATE on both sides .

Turkish readers will be reminded of the story of the exchange of populations between greece and turkey--greek muslims going to turkey , and turkish christains going to greece after bloody massacres on both sides . the difference here is that unlike greece , which had tried to grab anatolia by waging war on the turks , and planning to annihilate them , india had made no such war .

now remained the question of some states ruled by ancient dynasties , who had accepted british suzerainty , but had been allowed to rule their own kingdoms within british india . of these hyderabad and junagadh were hindu majority states with muslim rulers . the ruler junagadh tried to join pakistan ( inspite of the hindu majority ), and the pakistani state helped him in this . the ruler of hyderabad declared himself independent and started killing the hindus with arms given by pakistan . but this cruel and cunning gameplan by pakistan was nullified by india's superior military power . the indian army simply marched into these territories and joined them to india .

what the pakistanis didn't know was that india was going to pay them back in the same coin . kashmir was a state with a muslim majority , but having a hindu ruler . he was thinking of becoming independent ,while pakistan was planning to grab it . but jawaharlal nehru , india's prime minister was a kashmiri hindu , and didn't want his region to go to pakistan . when the pakistanis launched their invasion of kashmir , the hindu ruler asked nehru for help . nehru asked him to sign the instrument of accsesion to india . this got some legitimacy because sheikh abdullah , the leader of the kashmiri muslims , who had been waging a long battle against its hindu ruler , supported the accession . indian troops were airlifted into kashmir , and the pakistani invasion was halted with the area under pakistani control going to pakistan .

now pakistan wants the whole of kashmir under the guise of muslim majority , forgetting that it too had played the same game in respect to junagadh and hyderabad that india did in kashmir . its another matter that india's superior military power prevailed .

actually pakistan uses the ' hate-india ' card to keep its varied peoples united . hate for india , is indeed the only reason why all pakistanis can come together--otherwise pakistan would be split apart . so pakistani politicians keep the hate alive to unite pakistani people.

another reason for keeping the hate for india alive is the fact that this allows the pakistani army to justify the mammoth expenditures on itself--using a huge part of the national budget . this money is used to fuel the hi-fi and expensive lifestyles of the pakistani generals . they fear that if the hate india card falls ,then common pakistanis will demand a reduction in military budget . if that happens , where will the money to fund their lavish lifestyles come from ?? so hate for india has to be kept alive......

kashmir is the excuse , mind you , the excuse to hate india--not the reason . if kashmir goes to pakistan ,then pakistans will doubtlessly find other excuses to hate india , and keep their country from falling apart .

i believe Sirlanka, Bangladash, China, Ind & Pak, the ppl living here contain many capabilities in the all manners of the life that have enough potential to give hard time to all of the other Continental Unions if united. the issue of Kashmir was deliberately created and kept unresolved and both the special countries are being a part of games.
