Here are few points that might help understand reality of how agenda peddling is done thru media.
Broadly agenda peddling thru media is done at three levels:
a) Personal (reported columnist, anchor, etc.)
b) Organizational and/or owner level
c) Donner/Funder/External party level
you can also include advertisers as fourth level of agenda peddlers. In Pak Telecom companies are one example
Now you can analyse and evaluate all media persons (broadly categorise as journalists), media houses/org and internal/foreign agencies (including ISI) and NGO from and for their respective positions of influence.
People like Kamran have very little personal agenda bcos they have no or little CHARACTER, they are motivated and driven by the forces who pull their strings. Even seemingly neutral and harmless journalists like Nadeem Malik and Moeed Peerzada have their personal agenda.
Again broadly, stronger a journalist's personality, greater and more focus agenda (s)he would have to push and peddle. Even seemingly the most neutral journalist (Moeed, Nadeem and Talat come to mind) have to push some degree of their employers' agenda.
On a separate thread, it would be interesting to obtain the opinion of forum members about/on bow much personal and org. agendas the prominent journalists and media houses push and peddle on a Likert scale.
