if dictators were to be discussed.......I think the first civilian martial law administrator in the history of the world should also be included naming Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto........the so called father of democracy in Pakistan, the shaheed e awaam............

this question is itself wrong . when will we come out of this disease. killer is a killer .there is no good or bad killer .similarly dictator is dictator

................................................
"dictator is dictator" !
.
By the way, where you place politicians like Z. A Bhutto?
Main and instrumental character in dismemberment of Pakistan & in abolishing "ONE-UNIT" "that gave birth to" SINDHI, PUJABI, Balouch & Pakhtoons ethnic identity! Opening doors of "provincial corruption" as against 'Federation' rule/system.
First politician who took oath of office as "Civilian Chief Martial Law Administrator" to gain coppmplete control of Power!

Gen. Ayub era was a golden ere in Pakistan history, his only big mistake was Bhutto, since he was in his cabinet he started looking ways to become president of Pakistan by hook or crook...and he did. Every body knows the later story which i do not have to tell and lead him to the death cell. And we Pakistani's are suffering now!

Zia for islamism????? Zia for creating radical fantasy exploding idiotts thinking hot virgins are awaiting them for fighting war of capitalism and communism
despite that he was also a martial law admin, the days of Ayub khan were much much golden than era of any other general.

But it would be wrong to compare Ayub with Mush for these reasons, but for a Pakistani, nonetheless, his days were better:

1. Country was very new in 1958.
2. Technology wasnt where it is now
3. Spy satellites were not invented or were in crib still
4. Installing of Ayub was CIA's second successful experiment, first was Shah of Iran in 1953
5 Population of Pakistan was way smaller - less mouth to feed.
6. There were onloy two provinces, East Pakistan and West Pakistan. General Yehya for some damn reason made 4 provinces out of the west - the source of trouble. He killed the unit of West
7. Ayub did start a new definition of democracy - BD (Basic Democracy) - a CIA sponsored scheme and experiment
8. Under the BD systems, which was also in the line Mao's ways of ruling, The BD members got rich and CORRUPTION started.
9. Corruption increased. More and more people became or try to become BD local Chairman due to glitter of being one- that created even spiral corruption thus large gaos between haves and havenots.
10 Corruption and ihasas-e-mahroomiat in East gave way to separation movement, hence a wonderful opportunity for Indira govt to capitalize on of dream to break up Pakistan as dreamed by her father - Jawahir Lal nehru
11. Then comes the ghaddar ZABhutto, who had signed a deal after 1965 war to allow India to break away east. Bhutto was given assurance by India an USSR on his becoming the PM.

To cut short, all Generals were dictator. But for public in short term - Ayub & Zia were the best - Ayub for stability and Zia for Islamicism

None.

Pakistan have not seen a good government up to now.

Dictator or Non dictator.

Raaz bhai , my parents says Ayub khan govt was more people beneficiary than any govt till yet. One example is that the meat shops were instructed to sell it in covered area not openly to avoid flies and other germs,
Also when we study pakistan history , pakistan's progress was higher in ratio. our export was best , our 5 year plan of that govt made Korean govt got it from our govt and progressed marvelously . Pakistani rupee was strongest level, no inflation

Pakistan became the economic lion in his era.

History plus my parents experience let me conclude that Ayub was the better dictator than any other.

If Genral Ayub Khan dictatorship was better the why it could not produce positive result after his dictatorship? Good work has good after effects. Wrong step produce wrong result, which is quite evident after his end of dictatorship.

Zia ul Haq was the best leader in the history of Pakistan
Ayoub Khan comes in the second number
Yahya Khan was the third one and
Musharraf was the worst general who surrendered the country to US without a single bullet fire

in pakistan's 64 year history - for 32 years it was ruled by the military dictators - and 18 years with some form of democracy the rest of the time it was a muddled form of government. the only thing that the military dictator has given pakistan is where we stand today in the world - one of the poorest, one of the most underdeveloped, one of the most illiterate, one of the most corrupt, one of the fastest growing population and one of the most dangerous countries in the world. this is all thanks to the combined effort of the duffers and rejects of the society who become generals and come back to rule us and take out their frustration on us.
