What should be role of Moulvis in our society...(According to my opinion)

Its solely based on my opinion and understanding of their role so agreeing or disagreeing with me is up to you people but I would appreciate if a person Agree or disagree could share some thing that could increase my own knowledge about their role...

Mulvis arent leaders they are responsible for provide guidance of our faith in Islam and its like teacher but when they started taking the place which is designed for other people like religious scholars or Muftis then this is what happened....They arent suppose to offer Fatwa but they are suppose to GUIDE MUSLIMS ABOUT ISLAM while just look at their position in Pakistani religious society They are Muftis, scholars, leaders, jury and even executioners as well so if this is what they start doing all those things which they are not suppose to be doing then what else can we expect from them in our society???? Being Mulvi is not bad thing in fact Mulvis also have their own sets of duty in Islam and Muslim society but when they exceed their limits then things started to collapsed and that is the sole purpose why Islam and Muslims around the world are living in miserable condition because they have exceed their limits and its like they are actually hijacking Islam...I think this is where our society is turning away from Islam and those whom getting closer to Islam are getting radicalize...If they ever want to convert Pakistan into genuine Muslim society then they need to follow the balance that is created by Islamic societies between and after the life of Hazrat Muahammad(SAW)...

Fatwa is not just an "opinion" but its one kind of "judgment" on particular issue by Muftis who actually offer fatwas....Judgment in the sense like excluding someone from Islam or calling any practice in our live UnIslamic or forbidden and Muftis are responsible for issuing Fatwa due to their greater knowledge about Islam and its teachings...

It is our own fault. "Specialization" in the society has created the profession of "Maulvi". then you have to take into account the formation of our
rurual and urban population and the Maulvi role there. In villages, Maulvi is one of the meanial status, dependent upon the Mohallah, even still in punjab, maulvi get one gulee(small bread) on the night of every thursday. He or his disciple on his behalf rings the bell of each and every door and that piece of bread is given to him. Jessi Rooh vessay Firshtaay. If we can read all kind of worldly stuff and very difficult one ranging from chemistry, math, computer, economics, etc. etc. etc. etc. why we cannot do the same thing with religion studies of specifically speaking Quranic Study. If not, then we are going to node on Maulvis and so-called Ulema and dance at their rhythm.

The Mulvis have their own status in teaching Islam but your complains for Mulvis are on one side but just look at the fact what has Mulvis themselves have become dont you think thats something which they dont suppose to become on the first place???You are talking about Punjab here in Karachi even people have stopped donating anything to Madarsas due to their activities so what ever happening in Punjab which you are complaining for is the consequences of what they have become like I said that they have their own position in Islamic and Muslim society but when they go beyond their position then problems are created and this is the cause of today that serious people are moving away from Islam because as I said that they have exceeded from their role and becoming more then what they actually are so their would be consequences for that as well dont you think???They have duty to actually guide Muslims about their faith as i understand their role but when they started issuing Fatwa(Mufti's duty), calling for Jihad(this would be rest on Islamic leader) and even become a Jury and executioner then what would be their fate???Do you expect people to support them in all that???I think the whole balance of society will be destroyed and same thing will happened which is happening...

why we talked about Maulvies? Quran is the order pf Allahs and each and everyone is required to get guiadence from it and then implement it in order to call "real muslims".
the position is that most of us are the "Born Muslims" and are far away from the Quran. The main reason for it that we by igorance call "isalam" as a reliogn, while it is a "DEEN" which give us complete system and way of living.
The survival of the manking is dependence of implementing the orders of Allah given in Quran.

Therefore, instead of discussing "Maulvies", we must concentrate to get guaiadnce from Quran and divert our efforts in implementing Quran in the life and system.
May Allah give us the courage and strenth to understand Quran(AMEEN).

Simple thing. If u totally depend upon them. Then dance at their music, right or wrong. Very simple.

What a pity it is! Correct yourself!

Every muslim is bound to have enough knowledge about his/her Deen to live the daily life. 95% of us care little about this fact. Had we gained the necessary know how about our Deen, nobody would have mislead us. Islam is not the Deen of Mullah. It is a way of life (Deen) for every muslim. Ullaama-e-Haq's role is to guide the ummah on complicated issues. But we have been so brain washed through our educational system that nobody is ready to realize that Islam is not just about saying prayer, keeping fast, doing Khatam Shareef, making the bride walk under the ghulaf of quraan until she boards the vehicle. That is why religion has become a lucrative business. We want to adapt the teachings of Deen as per our wishes, which can only be fulfilled by Mullah's not by the Ullaam-e-Haq. That is why the Ullaam-e-Haq are held back and the Mullah's have been admired.

Therefore, we should not be crying thief, Since we ourselves are the thieve of the most natural Deen.
