He wasn't there to confirm the resignations but was their to reply to the so called parliamentarians.

Also the resignations were as a protest and if the demands are met they might even take resignations back. They didn't ask for the Whole PML-N government resignations but asked for investigation in model town, Investigation of rigging, Reforms in ECP and Resignation(temporary until investigation) of PM. They didn't demand ouster of the government or anything.
