UN report shows Taliban eradicated opium cultivation​

United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP) 2001 survey shows that


When Taliban Banned opium production, There was 91 % decrease in total poppy cultivation area
Raw opium production was reduced 94% as compared to 2000 and 96% as compared to 1999

Few Facts before you go through this report

Badakhshan Province had highest cultivation rate. It never came under control of Taliban.
