You are absolutely right but the problem is they don't have power hitters down the order. I think, they sent him down the order just to neutralize that weakness.

If they "TRY" there is immense talent which is wasted in Pakistan.....

it all depends what they want to do...if talent is their criteria of selection then you will see improvement within 3/4 years if not then PARCHEE will get your results we are seeing now...
e.g. that left hand batsman of Karachi who sells Paratha...
he got a chance in 1st class.. let's see where he ends up.... and that too because Inzi (i think) took some interest...

it is clear now that asad just cannot bat when there is a over limit, he is made only for tests where he can bat at SR of 40 per 100 balls for whole day

once akmal gets a full chance at no4, then he can be judged on his abilities
coming at no6 in last overs, and immediately u have to start scoring is not how Pakistani basman play

Umar is a much talented and a good hitter but keep in mind he is doing comeback and i think his best position is number 4

the way Imad Wasim was playing, it was very much expected that he would leave early, all the shots that he played he seemed in a hurry to the shot, getting away and hitting, just trying to hit, that's not even cricket. Omar akmal has good cricket but it seems he would always be a bad player.

He was selected partly due to his good form in test cricket and partly because you don't have any good, technically solid, middle order batsman as back up. He could be dropped after this tour if can't adjust in ODI.
