Unfortunately Pakistan is the only country in the world whoes very existence is dependent on its own security. Immediately after its birth it went into war. During very first war in 1947, Pakistan had to tackle an aggression or die for ever. Pakistan chose to live. But Indians went to United Nations with a request for Ceasefire. UN passed its famous resolution declaring ceasefire between the two. This resolution also states a promise of plebiscite among people of Kashmir to resolve this issue.
Pakistan's stance is very clear and just. According to Pakistan Kashmiri movement is an indigenous movement. Muharaja of Kashmir had no right to call in Indian Army. Istead he should ask his own people first. Finally, the agreement was that any areas more than 70% Muslim would go to Pakistan. Kashmir has more than 90% Muslims and therefore clearly should have been part of Pakistan. Currently every one of polls has had a similar result. Some want an independent Kashmir. Some want to join Pakistan. Almost none at all want to stay in India. No one in Pakistani Kashmir wants to join with India and most of people in Indian occupied Kshmir want to join with Pakistan. It is not the question of economics alone, Kashmiri people feel closer to Pakistan culturally and religiously.
The India-Pakistan rivalry remains one of the most enduring and unresolved conflicts of our times. It began with the birth of the two states in 1947, and it has continued ever since, with the periodic resumption of wars and crises. The conflict has affected every dimension of interstate and societal relations between the two countries and, despite occasional peace initiatives, shows no signs of abating. Now both are involved in proxy war with each other in Afghanistan. Pakistan supports Afghan Talibans and India supports Northern Alliance. Heart of this conflict is Kashmir. Lack of initiative to resolve Kashmir issue is the main cause of failure of Obama’s AFPAK policy. US has to re-think about this region and include India in the jigsaw forming an AFPInd. This will make all sense in creating peace in this region.
Indian and US agenda in action.
Ship him to Modi's Gujarat
My friend Shogi your's is a very generic statement with no souls to it, Pakistan's creations was matter of heart and soul, hearts said that Muslims in subcontinent need their own homeland as experience with Hindus during the period of English rule showed the true color of Hindus. Even the very secular Muslims like Mohammed Ali Jinnah joined Muslims league due to the racist, rude and uncompromising attitude of Hindus.
Experience in Lucknow and in Bengal about their promises to allow Muslim rule were broken and all promises were reversed with shameless tactics. Indian behavior from day one of the Independence was that of a adversary and not of a good neighbor. cases of Juna Garh, Hyderabad and many more was that of aggressor and not of a Democratic entity willing to cooperate and willing to honor U.n. resolutions.
The most horrible India did as to buy Mujib ur Raham and train Mukti buhini for several years prior to 1970 war to interfere in internal Pakistani affairs. They even divided Muslims on the bases of Ethnicity when Bengali's fought against Biharis, what a shameful act.
We were and we try not to use ethnic card to get elected, but Indian leaders do it all the time, what a shameful behavior. My friend we are being inundated with directions from all over the world because we cannot put our point across and tell the truth, what a shame. leis are succeeding and truth is pushed aside. Nobody`s fault, but our own.
to alleviate this miserable situation we must put those who are not only smart but courageous in the position of power, who know how to protect, negotiate and to save guard our honor.
And there are plenty of those. If u know what I mean.
so my friend let us all try to follow the foot prints our greats. May allah S.W.T. give us wisdom and courage to walk the right path. Ameen.
Mr. Sethi needs to check the facts on 1965 war....

I am with you on that one, my friend. My dear friend ASQRI, thank you for your coments. But how can I forget my history. Shall I cease to remember my forefathers who have given lives. It would be betrayl to their blood and bones. How can I digest false Indian lies. The Indians claim that the Instrument of Accession was signed by Mahrajah Hari Singh on 26th October 1947, in which the Mahrajah agreed to accede to India in return for military assistance to put down the popular rebellion against him, seen at that time as an invasion by tribesmen from neighbouring Pakistan. The details of the accession were worked out between the Kashmiri Prime Minister, MC Mahajan and the Indian official, VP Menon, in Dehli. However, there are serious doubts about the signing of the document. Alastair Lamb (in his book, Kashmir - A disputed legacy 1846-1990) points out that the Instrument of Accession could not have been signed by the Mahrajah on 26th October as he was travelling by road to Jammu (a distance of over 350 Km). There is no evidence to suggest that a meeting or communication of any kind took place on 26th October 1947. In fact it was on 27th October 1947 that the Mahrajah was informed by his MC Mahajan and VP Menon (who had flown into Srinagar), the the Instrument of Accession had already been negotiated in Dehli. The Mahrajah did not in fact sign the Instrument of Accession, if at all, until 27th October 1947. This sheds doubts on the actions of the Indian regime. Some Indian troops had already arrived and secured Srinagar airfield during the middle of October 1947. On 26th October 1947, a further massive airlift brought thousands of Indian troops to Kashmir - BEFORE the signing of the Accession. Therefore, this situation begs the question: would the Mahrajah have signed the Instrument of Accession had the Indian troops not been on Kashmiri soil?
